  1. Rivian's Future Georgia Neighbors Aren't Thrilled

It is quite a bit less dense. Check even Wikipedia. Repairs on UG lines is more expensive than OHU’s. Not sure where you are getting your “facts.”
  2. Tire range, options 22" vs 20"

    Anyone have the wheel weights?
  3. Rivian R1T Gets Ceramic Coating, Window Tint, And PPF

Modesta puts their own lifespan of 3-10 years. I’m assuming it wears off when used sort of like RainX. No way I’d be paying that kind of money to reapply every few years. Now I love the vinyl but I’m also very worried about the lifespan on that. In my hot af Florida sun I expect it to start...
  4. Rivian's Future Georgia Neighbors Aren't Thrilled

^ say you don’t understand the cost of infrastructure or population density of US/EU without saying you understand it…
  5. Rivian's Future Georgia Neighbors Aren't Thrilled

This is roughly 20 million sqft. Average Amazon center is less than 10% of that. I do feel a little bad for the residents but this project should mostly help their property values. focus of anyone upset should be the tax incentive package. Georgia has a reputation of throwing cash at any...
  6. Rants and Raves after 2 months of Rivian R1T ownership [DISCLAIMER: Unauthorized feedback from non-owner]

Panel gaps and non-working rear climate control isn’t proprietary info when these deliveries are being counted by the manufacturer as customer deliveries. Source code, of course. If there were M-plate mules yes too. But as customer vehicles, no and in any event a CA is between two parties, not a...
  7. Rants and Raves after 2 months of Rivian R1T ownership [DISCLAIMER: Unauthorized feedback from non-owner]

Asking this thread to be deleted is absurd. Would be like asking the news media to refuse to cover Stormy Daniels in 2016. The CA is between the employer and employee not us as general population. Now if prop source code had been posted then that reasonably would be subject to censorship but...
  8. Rants and Raves after 2 months of Rivian R1T ownership [DISCLAIMER: Unauthorized feedback from non-owner]

Just remember that employees are under a CA for non-positive comments and receive a subsidy on truck purchase. btw, I’m a Rivian fan and launch deposit holder but I’m also a fan of sunshine.
  9. ? Update from RJ on production & deliveries -- via email letter 12/28/21

Are you implying there is a higher demand for large over max if someone has the choice? Lol. Majority are large because it’s the one being released first...
  10. ? Update from RJ on production & deliveries -- via email letter 12/28/21

I’d like a max pack but let’s be honest, if they had it ready they probably would have started with max. there is a supply issue, design issue and/or a margin issue. the doing “extra” is eating cost increases that everyone has been seeing across pretty much all industries.
  11. ? Update from RJ on production & deliveries -- via email letter 12/28/21

Cost wasn’t it for me. It was just that it was certain to add an extra 12 months to order. I was honestly hoping they would do max first as that would be my preference but oh well.
  12. ? Update from RJ on production & deliveries -- via email letter 12/28/21

Is LE prioritized over Non-LE? Email isn’t clear other than encouraging to switch to adventure & large.
  13. Interesting Rivian History : Space Florida’s incredible shrinking Rivian stake

Apparently I don’t either unless the agency was offered the chance to keep participating in new rounds and declined.
  14. Holding Period to avoid repaying EV Tax Credit?

Yoir I think you’re forgetting the 100% bonus depreciation that gets you to $51,800 for 2020. Presumably a bit more for 2022, when we take delivery. I think this is the realistic cap but welcome anyone telling me differently. Also, I’m pretty sure the truck must be titled in the business name...
  15. Holding Period to avoid repaying EV Tax Credit?

That’s not a correct interpretation. Placed in service is the only hangup if someone is planning to buy and flip the thing but as long as you take title and register it you should be fine.
  16. 2021 Q3 Rivian Shareholder Letter – December 16, 2021. 71K Preorders Received

I fully support Rivian doing a slow release to get out the kinks to lessen the Tesla like photos/complaints we all saw about panel gaps and water in taillights. That said, I’m very curious to start seeing metrics of service claims. Employee/family cars won’t track accurately but consumer...
  17. Credit/discount for waiting?

DSP offer was business and it worked. We still paid more than that underwriters did.
  18. R1T Towing Range Sneak Peek — 44 Miles of Predicted Range with 37% Battery Remaining

I don’t like the gag on social media postings at the moment either but I sort of get it as we should all be honest to admit that they are essentially using employees for extended beta testing. I just with Rivian would be honest about this method themselves.
  19. ? Rivian Sends Delivery Window E-Mail. What’s Your Dates? => Vote in Poll!

Can’t blame this on the IPO. As a DSP buyer, they should have disclosed this before the IPO. They knew.
