I’m mostly nervous of a stick falling and cracking our glass that seems to be pads with a platinum film. Thankfully I’ll be parked indoors but remember that most wind damage caused by hurricanes really is caused by tornadoes that spin off and if you’re in that path, nothing you can really do.
So my gate is 318mhz. Rivian said no support for anything at this frequency. Someone smarter than me can figure out if that can be fixed via software but the lowest they appear to support is 303mhz, so I’d presume software. They did confirm that they support a single opener at 433.92 but that’s...
I’m happy for you guys. I’m still riding in a rental truck (not a R1T). Just got a call to come in for service but I can’t drive it and they don’t want to pick it up. :swear:
You need something engineered to handle lateral forces which would require multiple point bracing. Don’t think you would get a manufacturer to take on this work unless they could reasonably sell 10,000 units.
Well I can’t legally drive my Rivian on the road so I’ll call that a bigger issue. :)
i’m fairly confident a rack can be done but if you’re a third-party you don’t want to spend a bunch of R&D to get something that’s currently for a market of buyers in the few thousand and maybe you capture 5%...
I’ve got a Gen-Y Mega Duty and like it. Have all three balls plus pintle. It’s adjustable drop which is what you want depending on the trailers you’re towing.
Btw, as a token $rivn shareholder it hurts to watch them nonchalantly send $80/dy down the drain for a base model Silverado rental car for me which is now at 30 days.
1. You’d think that would somehow trickle up the management chain to prioritize this but I can’t even get in touch with them.
2...
No idea where you’re going with this whataboutism. Lucid would be a better comparison if you wanna go down this goofy path of distraction and they don’t have an issue.
RegUSA? They’re not at fault here. You’re drinking too much Rivian Koolaide if you believe that and if they’re known to be so bad (not my experience though it goes back a few years) then that’s still on Rivian since I’ve had the truck since early June.
Update, nearly a month later and I’m still in a rental car. Every time I ask for an update I’m told someone else quit or was reassigned. I was told on Aug 29 that the docs were submitted to the state but I still can’t find my VIN in their system so it sounds like another fib as RegUSA can...
I don’t think this is true. I did head a somewhat indefinite delay from a friend as EVERYONE in the business is searching for a more cost effective production method/battery tech. Ford is currently doing two different battery types.
Leveling: This is an unnecessary feature that’s “fixing” a problem that really doesn’t exist. Now if it could accommodate a 30° angle then that would be something but that’s not what we’re talking about. Perhaps I’m bitter because they can’t even get my truck registered so I’m not super...
Wire is quicker and easier as long as you get the instructions right. Mine was confirmed in less than 10 minutes. Wish the rest of Rivian was that efficient.
