I don't know that I'd say "always." If you're patient and do your research on how to install you can do a good job. Doing it at home means you're not incentivized to get it done as fast as possible to get on to the next customer job. Even if there are a few application defects the film is...
Today is actually our last official day in MN. We've moved just far enough east that we're now Wiconsinites by a few miles. Was in Rochester last weekend!
This might be the graphic you remember:
I've spent my whole (short) life in the maroon area between IA, MN and WI. You could say I've...
Hear, hear... Difference between summer highest heat index to lowest winter wind chill in a typical year in MN can be 150 to 170°F. Would be good to have reserve power some days.
No contact here (Dec. '19 R1T LE) nor among our friends that have pre-ordered but that seems about as expected. Did get a cool Rivian Rumpl blanket from a kind-hearted CS employee with prior ties to Rochester, though. I'd bet the R1T LE folks in MN and WI will start hearing about guide...
Fellow Focus RS daily driver here here from MN ? The range of the RS is about perfect as any more and we'd need to stop anyway for bathrooms and stretching a bit. We've done lots of long road trips with it now, the longest recently being over 5,000 mi. And there's the yearly road-trip to...
Yes, same mystery shipment notification here, too. No idea what it might be, but exciting regardless.
Edit: I had already gotten the R1T concept poster back in early 2020 so doubt it's another one.
Another little bit of new Rivian related info pertaining to MN. Looks like their insurance arm, Rivian Insurance Services, LLC has a business filing in the state as of 8/18/21. While not a Service Center it's hopefully a good sign of progress in the area.
Fellow Minnesotans - Looks like Rivian is now hiring for a couple positions related to vehicle delivery and operations in Minneapolis.
The positions were posted in the last two days. A good sign regarding roll-out for us. Wonder where the Rivian Center will be?
Here is a write-up from 6/14/21 regarding the Rivian Chicago build-out:

It includes some more photos, detail on floor plans and timeline for completion (Q4 '21.)
So many great vehicles already; you all have good taste. A VehiCROSS, V70R, Scout and 4x4 camper van are all on my bucket list.
Currently driving a Focus RS that does everything from camping to daily driver duty to ice racing. The R1T will be an addition.
So far for options we're looking at are similar to yours; the blue exterior, black interior, 20" AT wheel/tire.
We may drop down to the no-cost white exterior on an Explore trim w/ Max Pack, though. I like the thought of the 400-mi range when temps. drop for long stretches. We make several...
Haha, that's great! Mine's a Nordkapp as well, specifically an LV circa 2012 just before the Forti's came out. They're not very common here in the Midwest so always exciting to meet another Nordkapp owner. It's certainly a boat with character!
Thanks for the approx. rack positions. We're avid kayakers as well with 17.5 ft and an 18.5 ft boats to load so have been stewing on this topic as well.
Thinking at this point of using the two roof mount locations to carry the boats as on any car. One of us would hop up in the bed and guide...
