And to start the internet speculations, what do people think of the potentially vague messaging? Were the first deliveries to the first employees? Or were the first employees just there for the special night?
"A special night with some of Rivian's earliest employees and now earliest deliveries! Some of these families have been helping build our company for over 11 years. Thanks for all the hard work and dedication." @RJScaringe
EDIT: One more photo from the Instagram post:
The closest relation I have to Rivian is the $1000 of mine they have and this forum. I don't think the reason I got invited is more than a random selection of people from a long list.
This is the same conversation I have with most everybody that sees me charging my motorcycle:
"That's electric?"
"Yes."
"Who makes it?"
"Zero."
"Is it a BMW?"
"No. Zero Motorcycles. They've been around for a decade...<incoherent grumblings>..."
Back on topic:
I wonder if they are going to say...
IMHO it'd be a pretty small service center for such a large metropolis and potential customer base. Paying top dollar for real estate in that neighborhood for something like a service center doesn't made a whole lot of sense.
I reserved in the last week of Launch Editions (11/17/2020) and was totally surprised that got the invite today for the First Mile event. Planning a road trip from Chicago to Normal on the 29th!
Heads move more than butts. And with such a small mirror, it is hard to have the leeway in any central automatic adjustment to account for minuscule changes in head position. Even in the same drive I find myself manually moving my rear view mirror as I adjust my torso / head.
