Just FYI, Uber/Lyft (ride share) are not automatically “for hire” vehicles. “For Hire” is a special endorsement you have to apply and pay for, just like Taxis. Some “For Hire” may also drive for Uber. But just driving for Uber doesn’t make you a “For Hire”.

It’s behind the wood and holding up well, no issues whatsoever. There is a sweet-spot where it’s tight enough but not lifting the leather. It’s powered from the 12v under the dash. If you don’t have that, there are options to get power from the diagnostic port.

Got a rock chip right at the bottom. Got it fixed right away, tech told me it could still crack due to the location (edge, AC vent location, bad luck). Sure enough it expanded on a hot day with AC on. When it started, it went from bottom to top in a matter of hours.

Alexa unfortunately can only send messages to other Alexa devices/users (Alexa to Alexa). It’s really lame. Hopefully Rivian integrates messaging soon.

What notifications do you get on your iPhone with the app? I have never seen one, my SO’s iPhone got unlocked notification but I didn’t. Wondering what else is supposed to come from the app? Charging complete? Updates? thanks!
