As a fellow Georgia resident, I'll be interested to hear what you find out.
FWIW, I contacted my guide yesterday after reading about OP's delay to find out if there was any new information on the possibility of my delivery being delayed further. He replied that there were no changes and that...
Yes. My guide advised me that I should be receiving my R1T -by- Jan 2022 (LE, LG/BM, 20"AT, tent, gear shuttle, order date Nov 2018). The statement that all LE holders will receive their vehicles by the end of 2021 is news to me.
I asked my guide about a self leveling capability for camping recently. He said that he was unsure if it would be available. Anyone else have any info on this? This would actually be a really big deal for those of us that boondock.
FWIW I was one of those that was contacted by my guide fairly early (July), and I am not an employee. I assume I was contacted because I was an early depositor (Nov 2018).
I was told to expect a delivery -by- Jan 2022. When I asked "Why so late?", my guide explained that it was due to the fact...
We are a "redhead stepchild". Sorry but true. No matter, trucks need bucks. I am a Nov 2018, "LA Auto Show " orderer GA resident with a Guide contact although not much additional info. It will likely be a good while before we see anything substantial here. Be patient, it will be awhile for us...
Good news. Seems like you may be able to delay your delivery according to this other thread. Hop on over to read their discussion.
"2019 Preorder - Extend Preorder to future Model Year"
Wonder if the delay in regulatory approval has anything do with the fact that Rivian is not a union shop?
An additional $4500 tax credit for union made electric vehicles has been proposed. Don't know. Curious. ?♂️
FWIW, I received my invitation to set up a call with my guide in mid July. Due to unavoidable circumstances, I was unable to make contact until late July. During my initial call I asked what criteria was used to determine when I was contacted. He advised that he did not really know, as someone...
You are correct. Although my configuration is "locked in" my Guide advised that I can change anything at any time up until I take delivery. He said that any changes may cause my delivery date to slip, but any and all changes are ok. He added that they would have no problem matching my former...
Yes that seems correct. I contacted my guide this morning to find out what the criteria is to be considered for these surprise packages and was told "that there aren't any other packages being sent at this time or any predetermined lists. The criteria for who is picked to receive them can also...
Not always. Roush will also do trim only upgrades and charge a $hitl0ade to parade their brand. https://www.mikepattonford.com/new-LaGrange+Ga-2020-Ford-F150-ROUSH-1FTEW1E5XLKE89174
Did the same on a 2018 back in 2019. Couldn't be happier. What a machine. It's the most comfortable and versatile truck I've ever driven. Almost bought a CPO MB SL550 but really needed a truck. Now I have the best of both worlds. My wife calls it my sports-truck!
Best of luck with your Raptor...
Same here, but purchased a Raptor in 2019 to replace a 20+ year old F150 as I realized that we'd have to wait awhile for the R1T. Problem is the Raptor is an awesome truck in every regard. It's made me think twice (often) about my decision to put faith in an unproven startup. For now I will stay...
FWIW, based on my conversation with my guide, delivery date is based on these three data points.
First - order date.
Second - configuration
Third and most important - service support capability.
i.e. day one order is trumped by proximity to service support.
So it seems that location is one of the more important factors in setting your delivery date.
I had my first contact with my guide yesterday. I told him that I was surprised that it took this long for Rivian to contact me as my order date/number was quite early (Nov 26, 2018 / #1351). I asked...
