The new order of things in the car industry. Pioneered by Tesla. Consumers just aren't aware or used to it because they are still used to cars from legacy auto, that aren't yet for fully software-defined. And they aren't aware or haven't been exposed to it because pure EVs are aren't even 10% of...
In today's AMA, Wassym had this to say about Amazon Music native app:
"We are actively working with Amazon’s team to bring owners a fully native Amazon Music app sooner than you think! While we know there is interest in YouTube Music, we don't have any updates we can share on that front just yet."
According a summary on reddit, of Wassym's AMA today, Amazon Music app is in the works and happening "sooner than you think".
Since Spotify is a native app, it should work with Rivian Assistant.
I don't foresee any future US president, or congress, to allow Chinese automakers to enter the US for a long time. Not until all brands can operate and sell on a more equal footing. The economic impact, and political cost, is too great. And the big three are simply "too big to fail". I'd even...
Not talked about in nearly all owner manuals of any car, but often done at tire shops and by tow operators... The vehicles can be lifted from the lower suspension control arms, below where shocks/struts are mounted to it. These points are strong enough to support dynamic weight of vehicle when...
Plus, economy of scale, or lack of it. Not too many people actual buy and use car covers. It's inconvenient. So the potential market is small and thus a small order from Rivian to their vendor. Hence lack of per unit savings that could have been had if a larger order was placed. And in retail...
The noises are caused by tension in the suspension, drivetrain and brakes. Suspension geometry changes as you change height, and these changes cause wheels to want to rotate. If you were to change heights while in neutral, and stationary, you would observe them to rotate slightly. But, since...
Did software change? Pretty sure I’ve lowered in the past while parked, only to have passengers panic when they heard suspension and brakes squeak and groan in protest. There was also on-screen warning and prompt for confirmation that there are no obstructions under the truck.
There is one or two existing threads covering the Ohmmu. I’d suggest looking those up and adding to those discussions. If still under warranty, I would stick with the factory one. Otherwise, no reason not to get the Ohmmu.
One of the existing threads...
If that is what happened, then the axle took some of the force. Which means the rear drive unit, mounting points and frame. So most likely totaled. At which point, video evidence would only provide relief for State Farm since they’d potentially have someone to pursue to recover whatever payout...
The biggest thing missing from the list is increasing levels of vertical integration. Less they are beholden to suppliers, mean lower cost and greater control over quality and their destiny.
Never trust chat bots fully. If you set up your Tesla app user profile as a non-Tesla user, with adapter, it would show you which sites are open to you. Even if you have a R1 with a NACS charging port. And that’s because Tesla’s system isn’t aware that MY26-on Rivians has it. Also, your R1’s nav...
Yep. Moot to speculate. Nothing is meaningful until you are personally invited to finalize your order and provided a delivery window. There is no transparency on where you might get slotted in the production plans, how many are ahead of you, ebb and flow of supply needed to assemble cars without...
