Funny how that FSAM isn't on their site: https://rivian.com/support/article/recall-information. If they can do ting washers in under an hour, I might just let them do it. Money well spent.
Good info on the offset! I was thinking about your size for AT set, but worried about that.
I've been eyeing the club events, if it ain't personal it's work keeping me in recall status. September is generally a no-go for me with end of the fiscal year, but I'm watching that Moses Lake event!
Thank you so much for calling and asking! Knowledge is power.
Alright so the next step: who has a "not compatible" truck and is willing to take off a couple bed panels and take pics? 🤗
Can you ask specifically what's not compatible? Is it the rails? Channels? Lack of wiring harness? Wrong wiring harness? Having to cut a bolt?
All of those can be fixed with new parts, or adapters. Or a cutoff wheel to cut the bolt, which is explicitly in the instructions.
Preferably, have...
Sure as shit, they added installing harness to the instructions. It looks like those with manual or no tonneau are missing the wiring harness... Which is easy to install.
I highly recommend anyone "denied" call back and ask "can I have the wiring harness installed first?"
I bet they're realizing a wiring harness isn't that hard to install. Problem is that isn't in the retrofit guide. I'll post back if I see updates to the retrofit instructions.
Okay I'm back. It looks like they're replacing everything with new parts, even if you have existing parts that could work, like bed trim. But that's just $327 of the total price. All parts total $2487.68, and with labor at $250, they must estimate 3.25 hours of labor if it's $3300. Honestly...
To be fair, your camera is picking up echo/concentration off the wall.
Attached is the NVH guide to determine if it's within "spec" or not.
I'm curious if anyone has seen an FSAM for this yet. I'm over 60k miles, and with this not under power train, I'm curious if Rivian will cover it...
I may or may not be listening while sitting in traffic... And had to replay to figure out if it was my truck or your truck... Sounds about the same, up until the end.
