Do we know the offset on the R2 wheels? Has anyone measured it? It would be fun to swap 33" RAM 2363s between R1T and R2. Really small on Grandpa truck, really big on baby wagon.
They're not the same, take a look at the lens of that and the mirror camera. They are more flat.
Also, the fender cam isn't the one that looks backwards in reverse? What the hell are the side cameras, a split of the mirror camera? How am I just now figuring this out?!
I didn't get a good pic of the plug when I had it off, but looks like this:
There's a specific pattern for the plug, so while pin might connect fine, the plug might not seat well and could allow water intrusion.
Having driven a gen2 loaner, I'm confident quality would improve. What we really...
When we went looking for a TT, we walked the lot and went smallest to biggest. Our favorite was a Keystone Montana with a man cave: https://rv.campingworld.com/rv/2025-keystone-montana-high-country-385br-2493309-french-camp-ca
Our realistic favorite is a 22MLS floorplan and is under 30'...
You've got me back down the rabbit hole. This camera is gen2 "Camera, Wide Angle, Front" on parts portal, goes up top in the rearview mirror assembly.
Even if you get brackets that fit a different screw pattern, will the plug mate?
Gen1:
Gen2:
Screw it, I ordered it.
Gen1 lamp, center, rear: PT00000470-N
Gen2 lamp, center, rear: PT00000470-U

Gen1 camera and bracket assembly, bumper, rear: PT00032058-A
Gen1 camera, surround, mirror: PT00002195-D
Gen2 shows all of the front, mirror, and rear cameras as PT00465707-D...
Send me one and let's find out! I really want to test it now, I thought I saw pics of different plugs, but now I can't find any on eBay. $537 new.
I do know the EDV cameras are the same, saw a couple on eBay with identical plug and screw pattern.
Charging $250/hr while paying $24-36/hr...
My rear bumper camera has gotten progressively worse, unsure if it was the lens or water or what, but I'm out of warranty and over the terrible view. So I decided to do it myself.
Here's the old cam:
I can see a water droplet that would never evaporate.
Fun fact: side cameras are identical...
In a span of 2 days between Long Beach and San Francisco, we saw an R2, Polestar 3-row hatchback thing, Gravity wagon, and a Cybercab. The last one scared me and was driving aggressively on the highway, couldn't tell if it had a steering wheel, but a human was in front.
Indeed. I have 3 different delivery addresses on my reservations, with 1 Launch Edition each in the 2 major markets (LA and Seattle). Depending on delivery timing, we may or may not have PCS'd yet. I'll be sure to share which gets first!
