lol… not sure a Rivian will be the right vehicle for getting lost in a crowd! My current truck is dark gray with light gray leather and it’s working well for me. MUCH cooler in the summer than my last Black/Black.
I changed from Granite/Black to LA Silver/White based on energy consumption/range concerns. I have owned Black/Black cars before and I know what it’s like on a hot, sunny day in the summer. I may still go for another color, but I think the interior will stay light and hear great reports from...
Here too. Having the option to power essentials in our home through an average (2-6 hour) outage is seriously appealing. We are in the sticks (this is an adventure vehicle after all, not everyone will live in a city or suburb) and have a well. No power no water. No water, no toilets. This...
Agreed. I think there would be no problem with the ramp if there was more transparency. An opportunity to be exposed to “the plan”, even with the caveat that things may change, would go a long way In helping to quell the speculation that pops up in a vacuum. Just my .02
For now, I’m keeping the off road option. If it turns out that making it optional was mileage driven, I will probably delete it. 300 miles of range is a hard minimum for me.
One of my regular routes is a 180 mile drive (each way) from my home in the Catskill Mountains of NY to the Philadelphia suburbs and back in a day. There are few chargers along my route (all require leaving the PA Turnpike) and very few if any L3. I’m struggling with how to make a 300 mile...
The ability to provide a battery backup to your home in a power outage is what might get me to jump. I really thought Rivian would have done the same. I’d certainly buy a Rivian wall charger if it would allow backfeeding my home.
We are getting to the point where some more transparency from the company about availability and delivery date impact would be helpful. Maybe a sample board with paint and interior samples can be sent to the RT1 LE group?
Our guy rides in one of these. It can fit through the door and onto the back seat of my Ridgeline.

Absolutely not! Our medium sized pointer (60 lbs) generally rides in a crate in the back seat area. Without fold down seats, I’m hoping the doors open wide enough to get his crate onto the seat and belt it in.
