So when i emailed my guide last week about my February/March delivery status they actually used "s00n" in their reply. I thought it was funny and shows they actually know about us on these forums.
Just an FYI... I'm one of the very rare people to have a February/March delivery date so I reached out to my guide for some info.
She didn't have an exact date but said she checked around with the teams and my delivery timeline is still valid.
She also said once a VIN was assigned to my build...
FYI I live 30 minutes (crow flies) north of downtown Los Angeles and pre solar I paid about $175 for all utilities in a 1400 sq foot house. CA can be expensive, but it's not always more expensive then any other major city.
They were average, I will say after my test drive I went into my buddies model 3 and they were vastly better. Salon my wife's Hyundai Santa Fe has better clarity so hopefully it's something they can work on
I just got back as well, a great event though I thought the driving course was shorter then what Sonoma looked like.
They had loads of trucks to drive (that weren't being driven) and my buddy tried to get an extra test drive in but was denied.
Still a great event, photos and videos here (the...
THIS ALL DAY! I've loved all the VWs I've owned throughout my life but the issues that ALWAYS came up were electrical. It's one of the main reasons I won't look at any of the VAG electric vehicles.
So I included my data but I've been a little mute on the subject because I feel like I'm jumping the line. I preordered March 1, 2019 (LE, RB, BM, 22s) and some interesting things have happened.
I was one of the first people contacted by my guide in early June and I've talked to her on the...
I agree 100%. Honestly i'll never use the offroad package so part of me doesn't care but resale could possibly be more if it had it. Honestly though i'll probably keep the truck long enough it won't matter.
Its worth noting that when i was first contacted by my guide in June i was never given a delivery date. The only thing i was told was by removing the off road package my shipment would be delayed.
Now that being said, I've yet to see a truck built that has no offroad package and any other...
While I agree there are some supply chain in all parts that make up the car the vast majority of the delays have been from microchips. The reason most of the big automakers are screwed is because they cancelled chip orders at the beginning of the pandemic because they thought car sales would...
My theory for a while is that all preorder holders got put in a lottery and selected for very early guide calls. This wasn't to actually get the truck and I think it was for that early trip and drive experience they did at the factory. I got asked a lot of questions about myself, my family...
I wish... I've never been given a date :(
And i agree with most everything else you said, they had plenty of time to know what was being ordered and what not. Sure, they could have locked in orders earlier and gotten a much better understanding for production numbers (color, etc).
With my...
Nope, no date at all. All I was told in June was that since I removed my off road package that my delivery date would be later. I asked what I would be if I added it back on and was told she didn't know.
Granted, this was June and I feel they really had NO IDEA when they were going to be...
