  5. R2 Early Production Vehicle Sneak Peak on CNBC [Ride Along Video w/ RJ Scaringe]

Maybe he was left out because he purposely drains batteries, leaves vehicles stranded on the side of the road and creates bad visuals for the casual observer. Or, he was left out because he gives questionable traveling charging advice that puts travelers at unnecessary risk and is bad for...

Agreed on the EX90. I know somebody that has one and hates it. One issue after another.

That battery capacity finding on A Better Route Planning might be a big nothingburger because there are battery capacities for R3 listed as well. All R2 and R3 capacities are listed is "estimate". Wait for the actual specs......

  9. R2 Early Production Vehicle Sneak Peak on CNBC [Ride Along Video w/ RJ Scaringe]

The Volvo will likely be significantly more expensive. Better range and charging but at a cost. Between cost, battery size and charging speed. For most people cost is most important and charging speed least important. All comparisons are premature at this point though without specs on either.

  11. IONNA is holding meetups at Rechargeries tomorrow, February 7th (2026)

I’ve used plug and charge on Ionna a few times with my R1T. Flawless and fast.
  12. Hitch brake light options?

Did you use that light on a Gen 1 or Gen 2. I had an LED light strip that worked on my Gen 1 but then did not work when I got a Gen 2.
  13. Hitch brake light options?

I tried three different LED brake/turn strip lights on my Gen 2. Had intermittent functionality. Rivian service told me many LED auxiliary lights have an incompatible electrical resistance. As a final try I bought a set of boat trailer lights. That is working fine. I mount it under my roof...

No kidding. If you hate driving that much get a minivan and have your teenager drive you around.
  16. $2500 Autonomy+ one time purchase now an option on Rivian configurator

I did 7 hours of driving today. Mostly rural roads. I enjoyed driving my Rivian while listening to a The Rest Is History podcast. My day would have been much less enjoyable if I had had a computer drive my hot rod Rivian instead of me. I’m a pass on Autonomy + at any price.
  17. LFP Battery in Cold Climate

My experience with the NMC max pack is that 90F is about the sweet spot for battery temperature. I'll also say I've seen more "speed limited by charger" issues with Tesla superchargers than other providers. Maybe try another provider just to see what happens??
  18. LFP Battery in Cold Climate

I've shared this data many times on this forum but will do so again on this thread as it is an important topic of high interest. I've tracked my efficiency for 3 years now. I see around a ~30% drop in efficiency at 0 Degrees F relative to 70 deg. I currently have a Gen 2 R1T with the Max...
  19. Rival: 2026 BMW iX3 reviews are impressive... R2 has its work cut out

Echoing what @RivianRocks25 said. A 300 mile range EV (especially with LFP batteries) is a non-starter if you need to venture off the freeways in the upper midwest. -15F as I write this at 7:00 am!
