These are the same two vehicles I saw in Colorado and Utah and posted separate threads about them. Same plate numbers.
After seeing the Catalina Cove in person we are taking that color option off the table.
I asked them specifically if they purchased those vehicles or if they were Rivian owned. They were Rivian owned (one was VIN 23, the other I did not look). One of the drivers said there were a bunch of people flown out to Normal to drive R2s back to California for testing and to put miles on...
According to two Rivian employees I talked to driving two different R2s across CO and UT employee deliveries have not started yet. They picked up R2 fresh off the line late last week to drive back to California for testing,
Some videos did make Catalina Cove look bright. I was disappointed to see it in person that it was so dark. Almost black. Here is another video when the same vehicle passed us up later in the day.
We saw another R2 today on the backroads of Moab. Same deal as the first one, Rivian owned test vehicle being driven back to California by technicians. This one was white. We were thinking of getting a Catalina Cove but now after seeing that color in person it’s out, too dark and bland. The...
Next to my Rivian Blue R1T in Edwards CO.
The Catalina Cove is darker than I thought. The R2 is bigger than I imagined
Rivian owned test vehicle. VIN 23. Employee out driving it to track up some miles.
Once again I find myself in agreement with forum member mkhuffman.
Over the last 7 months and 10,000 miles less than 8% of my charging has come from DCFast. It just simply doesn’t exist in many of the places I travel to. Gimme the big battery and range. Charging speed is not high on my...
Three year owner here. I’ve found them very responsive and quick to complete work once it is in the shop. Getting an open appointment slot can take awhile but overall I’m very happy.
I’ve had no major issues in 3 years and 90,000 miles.
If you can swing it, having separate all season tires for highway driving and all terrain tires for special occasions is the way to go. The range hit with all terrain tires is pretty massive, more than I care to tolerate day to day. (data attached showing Nokian Outpost nAT's vs Perrelli All...
I chose Catalina Cove. I did not like it at all on the R3 prototype but I think it was the orange wing mirrors that bugged me. Took awhile to get past that bias on the R2 but now I like that color
Not exactly the comparison you want but see my review and efficiency data here;

Huge hit to efficiency relative to all season tires. I don't have comparisons to other all...
