Had the Pirrelli All Season OEMs for 3 years. They were OK and I'll still use them in the Summer but I now also have the 20" Nokian Outpost nAT all terrains for winter and summer off-road camping trips. The Nokians are very good in snow and OK on ice.
As someone living in the cold climate of Minnesota I will not be buying a LFP battery. It is cheaper but there are significant downsides you need to be aware of!
I got the Max Pack on my R1T and am happy I made the investment.
-15 Deg F last night!
They mentioned "hundreds of dollars" for LiDAR hardware. Yes, that is the piece part price but those that want autonomy should pay the FULL development costs. The autonomy package should be an option that costs thousands of dollars. I don't want to pay for the development costs for something...
Who will want the early R2's without LIDAR???
Me.
Don't give a flying fig about self driving. The sales pitch articulated today is I will get my time back to "be on my phone or read a book". I already spend too much time on my phone and I have audio books. Autonomy turns me from an active...
Interesting about moving the charger inside. I noticed this cold charging issue early on before any other forum posts were made. I was Level 1 charging at a VRBO so the truck was parked outside in single digit weather and snow falling. In my trouble shooting I thought maybe snow or ice got...

This is a new thing. I had my Gen 2 R1T all last winter with no issues.
I've been through a couple cycles of this now and this has worked for me.
1. Warm battery.
2. SOFT reset.
3. Leave vehicle and let it go "to sleep"
4. Plug in Level 2
I have not tried the hard reset method.
Hoping for...
Adding a little info to this thread.

I...
Based on my experiences and others the following procedure seems to work.
1. Preconditioning to heat the battery. I think around 40 is enough
2. Soft reset
3. Sleep cycle of vehicle. Give it a few minutes to fully shut down and “sleep”
4. Plug in level 2 charger
The soft reset plus a...
