  1. Rival Tesla Model X to end production

Hmm. Safety cages. Never thought of that. Why would humanoids not need them when all other robots do???
  2. Phantom / Vampire Drain Solution Works! Using 12v Battery Tender

With the app you can see the current state of the vehicle but not the history. If it is sleeping you see a moon/stars symbol. I signed up for a RivianRoamer account and that give a very good history of the state of the vehicle. RivianRoamer also tracks many other things like drive statistics...
  3. Rival Tesla Model X to end production

Robots for mundane manufacturing tasks at competitive prices have been around for a very long time. I'm struggling to understand the appeal of an overly complex robot in a humanoid form with over 100 degrees of freedom when a far simpler and less expensive alternative exists???? If you have...
  4. Phantom / Vampire Drain Solution Works! Using 12v Battery Tender

Is your vehicle sleeping? mine just went through a phase of not sleeping for days at a time. I concluded the frunk latch sensor did not fully close one time when I used the frunk at -10F. That was keeping it awake. I had to cycle the frunk and do soft/hard resets to get the vehicle to sleep...
  5. LFP Battery in Cold Climate

As a Minnesota resident it would take a ton of evidence to convince me to go with LFP. I’m glad this thread was started. Eager to hear responses.
  6. I bricked my R1S in the Oregon Outback - Learn from my mistake!

Thanks for the helpful article and positive attitude considering what you went through. Curious what battery pack you have? Size and chemistry??? I live in a cold climate and am concerned about LFP behavior in cold weather.
  7. Our 2025 R1T won’t start!

A couple of random ideas to try to maybe toggle the software out of some mode it is stuck in change drive mode Change ride height Hold shift lever in Drive position for a few seconds make sure all doors are closed. Maybe open and close them all just to cycle them.
  8. First R2 validation build vehicle rolls off the production line!

Well......... That depends on where you live and or play.....
  9. Canada will lower tariffs on Chinese EVs from 100% to 6%

I wonder how many prospective pickup truck buyers in Canada are now more seriously considering Toyota/Honda/Nissan's instead of Ram/Chevy/Ford?? Sales figures over the next few years will be interesting to watch.
  10. 100k miles on my Rivian R1T

Bravo! I’m not far behind at 90k on my blue R1T. Same truck, same experience, same sentiment
  11. How to bring your bricked Rivian back to life.

I watched this too. Tedious to be sure… If it was me, I would have left the bigger jump box attached to the hitch leads for much longer before trying to plug in the level 2.

  13. Got State Farm for insurance? Love to hear from you.

State Farm customer for 3 decades. I was a very early Rivian owner in spring 2023 and had no trouble getting coverage at a very reasonable rate. Rates for my Rivian coverage have actually come down twice over the last 3 years. Have only had two claims in the last 15 years (deer strike on...
  14. Phantom / Vampire Drain Solution Works! Using 12v Battery Tender

I did have issues with the truck not sleeping and loosing large amounts of energy while parked (5 kWh in 1 hour). Only happened after .46 update. Turns out some bluetooth sensors were never functioning properly and with .46 it started causing issues. The service center reprogrammed the...
  15. Ford's EV Plans - Very Positive News

What they did with the Lightning product was not a long term viable solution in the marketplace. They had to regroup and rethink the whole thing. I don’t fault them for stopping the Lightning experiment. I truly wish them luck.
  16. Rival: 2026 BMW iX3 reviews are impressive... R2 has its work cut out

The Volvo EX60 seems like it will be priced above the R2 given the 400 mile range.
  17. R2 vs. R1? Why are you so excited about the R2 to reserve one?

Size. R1S is way too big for us. Full size pickups are way too big, that is why I love the R1T. We will be a R1T and R2 household. Cost: 1/2 to 2/3 the price of the R1S
  18. 1.4kWh Daily usage since .46 Update

An update on my issue: A quick review from what I posted earlier: * Immediately after installing .46 I got an error on the dash UI saying "Carry key card at all times, phone and FOB performance limited". * I also saw huge battery drain while parked away from home. * I also saw the vehicle...
  19. 2 weeks with PaaK that actually works........I'm still not 100% sold; but closer.

I was right there with you on the "phone as key sucks" sentiment. WAY more frustrating than helpful.... Along comes the .46 update. I gave it a try and found it did work better. But. There is always a but. But, I starting seeing MASSIVE battery drain while parked and my vehicle rarely...
