100%! The Rivian speaker never worked well for me and is basically dead weight. I took it out and threw it in a box in the garage since I never use it and now I just have an empty void in my center console.
Putting a couple of extra cup holders (or even ones that can hold larger water bottles...
Does anyone know when the Las Vegas charger will go online? It's been sitting there since June and I am planning on some trips through Vegas come this fall!
Rivian also really needs to add level 3 chargers along the I-15 past Vegas, like at Mesquite, St. George, and other towns so those of us...
Man this forum is full of knuckleheads, I'm going to probably go elsewhere for discussions. Some people had some great suggestions, such as muting chimes, adding in a low or zero regen option, and what is the result? Five pages of absolutist armchair warriors saying how things should be exactly...
Well at least you didn't try and manually close your hood and dent it. I closed my hood because the fruct button stopped responding (the computer went to sleep while the hood was open), and with what I would call gentle to moderate pressure I used the palm of my left hand to close the frunc...
Whoaaa, the rear glass cost $4600 to replace on your R1T? Holy moly, I am going to be super careful now.
I may have to get a used F150 for my house remodel. I am kicking myself for selling my old one to get this R1T, should have kept it. I really don't want my Rivian to get all beat to hell...
I have PPF on the entire hood and it didn't help because it's just a sheet of plastic.
Well I hope Rivian can pop the dents out for me. The way I think about the R1T now is it's not so much a truck but an 800hp supercar that can haul mountain bikes or paddleboards and the occasional oversize...
My guide was very helpful but if I did it all over again I would have waited a couple more years before buying one so that they work out all the quirks. For example, when I run my AC I smell the window washer fluid, the truck bleeps at me if I try and manually lock the vehicle from the touch...
Yeah I came from an F150 crew cab and figured since I was done with the big "truck stuff" like landscaping for my house and bringing home the bulky home depot items and appliances that I would be good to go, and use this truck more like a car that can haul bikes and boards, but ugh....
I looked...
So the other day I closed my R1T frunc by hand because either the frunc sensor didn't detect the frunc latch, or perhaps the computer timed out and shut off the frunc auto-close sensor (kind of like how the tailgate and gear tunnel buttons turn themselves off), so I closed the frunc by hand for...
I don't have time to read all 8 pages but my R1T has the EXACT same problems--air doesn't get cold, and the AC makes a weird aircraft/vibration noise like it's ready to explode. Very disappointed so far with the AC system, even on 90-95F days, it doesn't keep the truck cool like any other...
100%. At least a low-regen braking software setting because the regen is so strong it makes the truck feel like you are always in stop/go traffic anytime you let off the accelerator.
This thread is hilarious. I've been wondering why I can literally smell the washer fluid from inside my vehicle with the windows rolled up. Never had that issue before.
This is of course what you get buying a brand new vehicle model from a brand new company. It's also why I'm waiting until...
How do you guys think we could go about getting a Joe Mode a la Tesla for the R1T/R1S? I spoke with a service rep and suggested the idea but who knows if my suggestion will ever make it to the software team. Does anyone have any ideas on the right channels to go through, or perhaps if there is...
Has anyone tried any seatbelt chime defeats on their R1T? I have done them in the past and they are either control sequences or removing a spring from the buckle assembly. Yeah I wear my seatbelt regularly, I'm not a yahoo, but neither am I a fan of the nanny chime which stops my music in the...
Washing the car at home without car wash mode will drive you nuts because the charge port opens every time you sweep a brush/rag across it, exposing the charging connector. I think I inadvertently opened the charge port about 50 times when I washed it yesterday. Likewise the door handles...
Another update: The car wash mode is pointless because I just went into my truck to grab something and the R1T automatically opened all of the door handles around the truck, disabling carwash mode automatically. This doesn't make much sense even in car wash mode--let's say you really are washing...
Update: Almost 2 hours later and the door handles are still closed in carwash mode. No timeout yet. Also I didn't put the truck in neutral, just left it in park.
YES! Car wash mode behavior is exactly what I want as far as the door handles are concerned, and it can be done.
So I found that setting and I turned it on just now in my driveway, thus enabling me to run and get items from the truck after a trip to the hardware store or whatnot as I go back...
