Does Rivian turn things off if sitting idle & the battery falls below a certain percentage? I know I once left a Tesla in an airport parking lot for an extended amount of time & stupidly left everything on & saw the battery draining but luckily the car shut everything down once the battery hit 20%.

9 pages of people arguing? It’s quite simple. Rivian needs to convince consumers to buy R2. Lots of them, or the company fails. That’s pretty much the entire story now.

Just know that a couple of posters on here have a cult like devotion to the brand but the majority are more pragmatic. For what it’s worth, the issues you outlined sound both terrible but not remotely common & I highly doubt you’d run into a repeat of them should you choose a replacement Rivian

I only care if the technology is safer than human drivers. The faster we can take humans out of the driving equation the better for everyone.

Going to be real interesting as automated driving matures & is more prevalent across vehicles. Accidents will still inevitably occur & if they occur less frequently than the current accident rate it’s a big win for human safety, but will people’s lizard brains be able to accept that or just...

That’s for joint filers, but either way I didn’t ever consider 6 figure (or near 6 figure) vehicles until my income was very much in excess of those numbers

If your income qualifies you for the tax credit, you probably shouldn’t be buying a Rivian anyways (until the R2/3 is released)

I know superchargers work & are prevalent & are cheaper so I choose those for 95% of my public charging needs. I don’t live the hyper political life some here apparently do.
