  1. Musk Forbes article.

To be fair it’s the just the same handful of posters that are akin to teenage fanboys with a brand hatred that is actually really funny to read who I personally love both brands & will continue being a customer of them.
  2. 50%+ to 0% drain overnight airport parking

Does Rivian turn things off if sitting idle & the battery falls below a certain percentage? I know I once left a Tesla in an airport parking lot for an extended amount of time & stupidly left everything on & saw the battery draining but luckily the car shut everything down once the battery hit 20%.
  3. Tesla shuts down Dojo, the AI training supercomputer that Musk said would be key to full self-driving

Some fanboys get overly protective of their preferred consumer brand
  4. Received the call from Rivian Service - Urgent Notice from Rivian: Action required for your R1.

Received the call & I have one of the earliest Gen 2’s, so it’s not just recent builds
  5. Rivian Q2 2025 Earnings Results

9 pages of people arguing? It’s quite simple. Rivian needs to convince consumers to buy R2. Lots of them, or the company fails. That’s pretty much the entire story now.
  6. Teslarati - Tesla takes first step in sunsetting Model S and X with drastic move

Glad to see Tesla still being the hottest topic on this Rivian forum šŸ˜‚
  7. Vasa museum--Rivian backpack spotted

Funny enough I was at that museum too last a week but alas had no Rivian gear. Agree it’s a must visit while in Stockholm
  8. R1S Gen 2 Dual Max: Buy back program advice?

Then I guess you didn’t actually read what they wrote & somehow concluded that Rivian would agree to do a buy back because a camera wasn’t working šŸ¤”
  9. R1S Gen 2 Dual Max: Buy back program advice?

Just know that a couple of posters on here have a cult like devotion to the brand but the majority are more pragmatic. For what it’s worth, the issues you outlined sound both terrible but not remotely common & I highly doubt you’d run into a repeat of them should you choose a replacement Rivian
  10. EV Driving in Summer? The R1S Makes It a Breeze

While I agree that range anxiety is often overblown, I’m not sure detailing a short 3hr trip is a going to change anyone’s mind
  11. Tesla "Brain Drain" continues - Top Tesla executive, an Elon Musk confidant, leaves the company

The subject you brought up was specifically EV trucks; though overall deliveries are also not trending well either for Rivian. I obviously hope they change this, but it’s an odd flex at the moment either way, I see the Tesla chip on many posters shoulders here is still strong as ever & this...
  12. Tesla "Brain Drain" continues - Top Tesla executive, an Elon Musk confidant, leaves the company

A Rivian forum might be the worst place to talk about poor EV truck sales 😃
  13. Reuters: US safety agency contacts Tesla on robotaxi issues seen in online videos

I only care if the technology is safer than human drivers. The faster we can take humans out of the driving equation the better for everyone.
  14. Tesla FSD drives down railroad tracks, gets hit by train

Going to be real interesting as automated driving matures & is more prevalent across vehicles. Accidents will still inevitably occur & if they occur less frequently than the current accident rate it’s a big win for human safety, but will people’s lizard brains be able to accept that or just...
  15. Amazon testing robots to be deployed with Rivian delivery vans

Why would anyone be against robotic assist helping the poor delivery guy
  16. US HOUSE LIKELY TO KILL EV TAX CREDIT, SPEAKER JOHNSON SAYS

That’s for joint filers, but either way I didn’t ever consider 6 figure (or near 6 figure) vehicles until my income was very much in excess of those numbers
  17. US HOUSE LIKELY TO KILL EV TAX CREDIT, SPEAKER JOHNSON SAYS

If your income qualifies you for the tax credit, you probably shouldn’t be buying a Rivian anyways (until the R2/3 is released)
  18. Anyone Still Using RAN?

I know superchargers work & are prevalent & are cheaper so I choose those for 95% of my public charging needs. I don’t live the hyper political life some here apparently do.
