Delivery center said they used a iron remover wash after receiving the truck from rail.
I still did an iron remover at home before coating it, and there was still some left.
Those are the 1up roof top, with the flush mount (allows to connect to rivian crossbar). They are adjustable to slide the rack backwards so the tires and rack stay away from the spoiler. Have two, work great.
Was at South SF Service center at 8am, they have a pop-up service lane with 4 spots. Like advertised, took less than 10 minutes. Put truck in rock-crawler mode, tech with torque wrench asks you to turn full tilt each side so they can access and check the nuts. No issues on my truck or the one...
My request: charge by timing
Given how large this battery is, even with level 2 40A at home a substantial charge can take a long time. Given I have time of use billing with the electrical company, would like to have car determine when it needs to start charging to finish by a certain time. My...
I have a 4-bike Kuat NV 2.0 attached to a Yakima backswing. It works, but it extends out quite far behind the truck. Clearance from the bumper without any added extender. When swung out, the tailgate can come down.
I almost suspect that a reason tint companies may not want to tint these larger panoramics is that it seems like a huge pain in the ass to do so, and it would require larger sheets of film that are more expensive or they dont want to deal with the extra labor involved.
Honest question about the concerns for tint/ceramic/IR films on the roof.
I tried to search for any real issued warnings/disclaimers about this, from a manufacturer of car glass, OEM, tint companies and couldn't find anything. There are some comments about it on the web, forums, etc, but it...
I'm having my roof tinted right now with Suntek CIR to help with the heat in the cabin. Have several friends who have tinted the roof window in their teslas, Taycans, etc and the difference is immense in comfort.
My R1T is 98XX, so right around that 10K point.
I havent had any problems yet, have lubed the track with CRC dry lube. It seems to operate the same as other videos I've seen.
Doesn't stop me from holding my breath each time I touch the button, hoping today is not the day it gets stuck...
Just applied gtechniq C4 on all the plastic trim on the truck, and it looks amazing. However, it makes the tonneau cover stand out as not as deep in color.
Trying to identify what this is made of. Is it powder coated aluminum?
Anyone decided on an ideal protectant product, particularly...
For any detailing minded folks curious about iron deposition with rail transit…
When I picked up my R1T from South SF, they said that they had put it though an iron bath to remove iron contaminants picked up en route.
I wanted to be extra sure before putting PPF on it this week, so did...
picked up mine this week. VIN 98XX.
I've gone over and over the car trying to identify build quality issues to submit a ticket for. I havent been able to find anything yet, its practically flawless. There is one weatherstripping part that is rolled outwards in front of the passenger door, but...

Just got my truck Tuesday, VIN 98xx, and I’m so afraid of this (getting stuck when I need to contain things). Already sprayed the rails with PTFE dry lube, but we shall see!
