Same experience...extremely impressive tires, they handle everything well and are a lot more resilient than I expected. I made a writeup about a recent off-road experience with them here...
Oh I know exactly what happened there with the tail gate...you are not alone. The issue is that Rivian applies the badging on the doors & tail gate by hand and it's inconsistent. I left some wiggle room there but when it's beyond that it just doesn't work. Just DM me with your order # if you...
Thank you!! :)
As for difficulty to DIY let me give you a few points:
Comparing to regular PPF I suppose you mean clear (glossy/stealth) PPF? It's the same as it's PPF just like it, just infused with color and in some cases metallic/pearlescent specs. But it installs absolutely the same way -...
I actually got us walkie talkies as my spotter is usually my 9yo daughter and hand signals are all over the place... but one thing is for sure - it's fun!!!! (I suppose until we actually break the Rivian - then it's less fun).
Yup lesson learned!!! Frankly it seems I am (at the moment) horrible at judging obstacles because for stuff I could've sworn we would hit in the highest mode, my spotter was laughing and showed me photos after that.... we could've probably cleared it in Low mode 😂
I suppose part of it is that I...
Yes we were in the highest setting for most of the time. You are right that is also probably a contributing factor to the roughness compared to on the way back then I switched back to All Purpose mode.
Any idea if it’s bad for the suspension to ride in the highest setting (limited to 20mph)?
Thank you :)
Seems I am getting around 1.81 mi/kW...small sample size though just the last 5 miles. My impression is that even with the new tires (and I did change it through settings that I have off-road tires on the 22" Range wheels) the prediction at 100% charge is still 270 miles but it's...
Oh! I didn't even realize that... thanks! Will try it next time. For my next adventure I am planning on going to Las Vegas as my sister in law & her husband live there, and do some trails over there. They have pretty nice off-roading trails over there. (sadly almost nothing interesting within...
Hey gang
Last week I took a short vacation and I, my wife, 2 kids, sister in law and her husband went to Yosemite National Park. I've been itching to off-road so I found a very nice trail leading to Shuteye Peak in Sierra National Forest.
The reason I am posting this, is to share my impressions...
As a side note, I honestly can't believe how awesome the Rivian community is... asking for someone's $100k vehicle for several weeks on a "trust me, it's going to be fine" is a huge ask when none of us know each other personally. I know that. And yet again, @SwampNut to the rescue! ❤️
I got the 22" XTM AT on my Range Wheels and just did a pretty decent off-road trip to Shuteye Peak in Sierra National Forest. They performed much better than I could ever dream. 0 issues. Range loss is minimal. Noise - I can't feel any difference, but the ride comfort has gone up very sensibly.
