Also the A pillars are identical between the S and T so I can develop it on mine and it will work on both...as I said if more people request it I will do it... might do it as an experiment on mine, see how I like it.
The mantra so far has been that we'll wrap whatever would change colors if you change the color in the Rivian configurator...so if you were to get a Forest Green Rivian, the pillars will not be green but still black...if people request it, I can do it though, we already have clear PPF model for...
Not trying to convince you otherwise, but if you check my install video you will see I also got quite a few bubbles. It's normal part of PPF installs, as hard as you work, something will be left over. They are super easy to remove with a diabetic needle - I do it throughout the video. And since...
Hey folks
Huge thanks to @SwampNut for lending me his R1T for 3 weeks so I can design the wrap for it. He drove all the way from Arizona to Northern California for this, so it was rather the adventure, not to mention how stunned I am that someone just gave his $100k truck to a stranger for 3...
Ceramic coating For PPF. I tried several, no issues, just no obvious benefit for me at least...then again, thinking of it - I did apply them days after applying the film, so perhaps if I tried now I might see some difference.
Their main point about the ceramic was that it helps protect the film...
Wow that's awesome!!!! I know for a fact that the manufacturer recommends re-coating it once a month...I tried it on mine, couldn't feel a difference in hydrophobic qualities but my tests are all weird (spray with the hose, etc) because I am in California...had to look up "rain" in the...
Great question. My guess is that the micro scratches on the body are just not as visible as the ones on the windshield. They will still happen, and the film will still self heal to some extent but you are a lot less likely to ever notice them. Of course, it depends on everyone's own level of...
If the wrap was installed well so no edges are lifting up, and if the PPF is good quality, there are no issues using automatic car washes. 99% of the time this is what I do, and I've been doing it for a while now with 0 issues.
Notice that these are our own pre-cut wraps that we make & sell...

TWRAPS Under screen tray for my sunglasses...
I am also keeping mine, great value for what it gives in my mind, especially on road trips when the kids want to watch their iPads and just connect to the hotspot (yeah yeah I know I can tether but that requires me to click "Approve" on their requests and makes my phone hot).
I only wish they...
I will be sending an email to all Rivian newsletter subscribers soon, but I want that R1T wrap to be done too before I do that...so one email for all of these announcements, so it doesn't get too spammy.
We just wrapped a customer's Forest Green R1S using our Stealth kit (Satin PPF) at our Concord, CA install location... here is how it came out :)
PS. We sell this kit for DIY and with Pro Install if DIY is not for you:
