I would prefer not to give that kind of control to a utility company.
As far as a "better managed and smarter electrical grid" is concerned, I only agree if isn't being done in lieu of a stronger and more robust one.
Not that it matters, where I live I'm able to currently avoid this nonsense.
I don't think we want to perpetuate the idea that this will always be the case going forward. It is a fact that we know the poster in question received a Meridian system with Rivian grills, but as this is a transition period, it's hard to say what future owners will end up with.
There was something odd I noticed today due to someone posting the vehicle info from their app.
For their 2023 R1T it said their interior was Black Mountain + Dark Ash.
My 2022 R1T says that my interior is just Black Mountain, but clearly I have the Dark Ash as well.
Has anyone else noticed this?
Happened to me today too. First time charging/having the door open since the update. Luckily I saw these posts, so I avoided having my hand or fingers chopped.
You would think they would have made our lives easier by including a "No thanks, I will continue to use the free service" button on that new splash screen.
They obviously don't because they want people to sign up for the "free" trial.
Although this would be great news, I wouldn't consider this the final word. If they completely dropped the Meridian hardware, I could imaging a transition period where it has that system but they used the non-branded grills because that is what they have available.
I'm not saying that's the...
That is unusual as these were the notes:
"Additional Improvement
This software update is intended for vehicles built with an older version of the Driver+ front camera software. It addresses an occasional issue that disengaged Adaptive Cruise Control or Highway Assist in low light environments."...
We were supposed to have up to 3" in the Fox Valley and we ended up with 13" when all was said and done.
I had errands to run this morning and it wasn't bad at all.
Especially when talking about a battery as massive as the Rivian has. That's pretty much double the drain at the same percentage compared to other common EVs. There should be no reason for this when idle/sleeping.
Does anyone else have a steering wheel that is noisy when it telescopes outward? I have roomy exit/entry enabled and when the steering wheel extends outward to its driving position it makes a rubbing noise that I think is from the leather boot at the base of the steering column closest to the dash.
Why do people do this? Coming from the Tesla realm this exact statement has become a meme/joke. In stereotypical faction, their owners seem to give a laundry list of issues they experience, but yet always feel the need to exclaim that they love their vehicle.
You don't need to love it. With so...
