Holy smokes. That is some great data for folks on the fence between ssds and microSDs. I'm going down the SSD route like many others. Hoping it doesn't fail within the first few years. This makes me wonder if mounting it inside the console is a bad idea...no air flow...

I went ahead and just got a T7 shield. Will likely velcro it to the side of the console. Might buy a shorter USB c to c cord to have it look cleaner.

I've been royally distracted at work today and I'm landing on a similar setup. MicroSD seems like the way to go.

Based on my initial research microSDs and SSDs are probably our best options for the constant read/write generated from a dash cam... Now I'm curious what the pros/cons are of each of these groups.

I have to assume that we may need more storage space if the plan is to use gear guard as a full time dash cam.

how about just throwing one of these into the center console. Rummage all we want it probably won't mess anything up...

Am I reading this correctly that we can view (and potentially download) gear guard videos on our phones via the app?
