I didn't take pics before adding the tape... but there are others that have posted pics without tape. It has been about a year, and the tape still looks great. This tape is very heavy-duty.
I installed an ALP 2 head + NetRadar system in our 23 R1S. Used the power from the wire on the driver side frunk area (where they used to have the 12v outlet on early units - wire is still there). Routed the wires into the cabin through the grommet left (passenger side) of the air filter box...
Removing that top portion of the dash would have made my radar system install much easier. Was a PITA to run the wire through the firewall grommet from under the dash reaching up.
We purchased aftermarket TPMS from Amazon for out winter wheel set up. They registered after about a mile or two of driving. No settings or anything to adjust / change on the Rivian. My guess is the TPMS they sent you was programmed incorrectly.
Here are the ones I purchased per...
I had the 115 load rating Michelin snow tires mounted on my 22s. However I had the wheels off the car and brought them in (wasn’t ready for winter season yet). They did ask which car it was for and I told them..no push back.
I just purchased a set of Michelin X-Ice Snows in 22s for our mild winters here in the PNW. Although we don’t get a lot of snow, it is cheap insurance to have the extra winter traction.
Blackvue cameras are great.. but all the newer (early 2023+) Rivians suffer from deleted 12v plugs under the dash. The best way to get power is probably from the OBD port and running a wire up the A pillar to the camera.
Great looking wheel. Curious, if they are made specifically for the Rivian, why not a +48 offset like the stock wheels. I am not a wheel dimension expert...
Option 2 may be the best call. I did see some YouTubers that said the 20 ATs perform better than the other A/S options, but still a little slippery and not near the traction of dedicated winter options.
I have store 22s with A/S and bought another set of 22" rims (just prefer the look of...
Not an option if you have solar (net meeting) though, yet. I signed up and then they emailed me and said no dice for now.
And since I have Tesla PowerWalls…this could be a great option as I would just use off peak to charge the PowerWall batteries and then run on those during peak.
I have one 22” Sport Bright stock wheel/tire set up that I am selling as a spare or 5 tire rotation option. I had purchased this is a spare for our R1S but just purchased a full set up 22s for a winter tire set up and so I no longer need an additional spare.
Perfect condition (no scratches and...
