A button for Kneel mode below the other height settings (so you don't have to go into the settings screen to activate it or turn if off). This would be helpful for those that only need it on occasion (shuttle parents, etc).
I saw this on an R1T loaner I had, but don't see it as an option on...
I am going to go into Discount Tire (aka America’s Tire in some states) early next week to see if they can get these also (they own TR). If so I may cancel the 22” Michelin X-Ice I ordered through them and switch to the 20” set up (and order the TPMS through Amazon).
Very interested in these as a possible winter set up if I can’t find OEM.
There is an aftermarket TPMS (noted in another thread) on Amazon that is plug and play for about $35/each. @vigga How much are the TireRack TPMS?
If you are talking about the plastic trip on the top lip of the lower portion, it can be removed. It is held on by clips and can be removed by carefully pulling the eager out (the clips are horizontal, so pull towards the rear not up). Be careful after you unclip it as there is a wire...
I have the 22s and the RUS and would guess it is closer to 100 lbs extra for the shielding. If anyone with 22s can post the GVWR from the sticker in the door, I can compare to mine and we would know the difference (but I am out of town for a week).
I am the one that ordered the 22” winter tires (Michelin X-Ice Snow) from Discount Tire (they own Tire Rack). And you are correct, TR lists them for the Rivian but they are 115 load rating. I personally don’t care about the very small delta as the 400lbs of reduced Max Load is not an issue...
You can definitely get just the wheels via a service ticket. I thought they were a bit pricey and am trying to find a local 2nd hand set. If not getting them directly from Rivian is plan b.
I should have kept the extra 4 i had but didnt think about winter wheels until i already sold 3 as spares.
