Ok. Guess I was thrown off because the guide originally told me those prices wouldn’t apply to the dual motor when it came out. What is the general consensus on dual motor vs quad large pack? They are basically the same price for me but it doesn’t seem like the dual motor gets much better...
I was looking and saw an R1S dual motor large pack for $76k, which is $13k below order price. However, I can’t see the R1T’s. Anyone seeing similar “discounts” in there?
Apologies if discussed but anyone removed either of the second row seats in an R1S? I have a family if 5 and am considering swapping my reservation to an R1S. Since they don’t have an option captain’s chairs, my thought was I might be able to remove one of the second row seats for ease of...
Think I’m gonna have to sell my reservation, mainly because I don’t think I’m gonna qualify for the tax credit. How does one go about selling a reservation? I haven’t gotten a delivery window yet but order from Q4 2021 so locked into the old pricing arrangement.
I have 3 kids under 10. Curious if anyone has a family of 5 or frequently seats 5 in the R1T and their experience. Really this is my only concern about the R1T. I’m committed to a truck so I’d be looking at a crew cab full size truck otherwise. This also wouldn’t be our primary family...
One issue I have with my Tesla is that I have to do a tire repair a couple times a year due to nails, screws, etc. Do you think there’s a material difference in the stock wheel / tire options in terms of holding up against punctures? That’s not the only criteria I’m using to decide which one...
I’d be very interested, though I couldn’t get there until 10:30ish due to my kids football game. I’m a reservation holder but unfortunately no truck on hand to bring!
I wouldn’t mind going down to the dual motor but don’t want to wait til 2024. Guess I will see if Ford or Rivian comes knocking first and go from there.
Given it’s a larger vehicle, I’d think this would be most handy at low speeds to aid with parking. I’d expect torque vectoring could aid in that regard, though it seems consistency could be a problem. As a driver, I don’t really want to be guessing what my turn angle is going to be based on a...
Meh. Drink the chalky crap then sit on the toilet to watch a movie on your iPad.
All I can compare it to is my model S. 0 issues and not aware of it being a common complaint. It’s a guessing game as to what issues will occur when the vehicle reaches 5+ years old. I just hope the door...
I have a family of 5 with 3 kids that will be 9 by the time I get my Rivian. I’d prefer the R1T but if they come out with a captains chair second row on the 3 row R1S that will be really tempting.
I’m not a car expert but don’t see where a removable glass roof changes a whole lot in production. I have no desire for that option anyway, because I have no clue where I’d store the glass, nor do I want to deal with the frequent unplanned rain events on the gulf coast.
