Am I the only one that doesn't care my updates are two weeks later? I feel like in the whole Amazon "gotta have it today" mindset has people really upset if something is not instantaneous. The updates and Halloween stuff is just a perk. Nothing more. Nobody promised me Halloween mode when I...
Ugh, scammers almost got me tempting me with a Gen 2 pad. Got the rando profile of someone with no posts giving me an email to his "buddy" that has whatever I wanted for sale. Asking for a friends and family payment tipped me off and when I checked the pictures through google image search, sure...
Picked a gen 1. Thanks everyone. Still open to a Gen 2 but have a lead on one. Feel free to message me if you have one you want to unload as I'm not on the forum every day.
Is there anything to substantiate that connect+ subscribers will get priority? I've seen that mentioned a few times but it's so far only mentioned as speculation. Could it be the fine print is there because as a connect+ subscriber you have the ability to download the update at any time while...
Looking for a stock charging pad/gear that someone might have taken out and replaced with one of the magsafe ones or similar. Bonus if it's from a Gen 2 vehicle.
Thanks.
I use a tesla charger at work. Even if the charger is set to accept non-tesla vehicles, it still shows an error at first but switches on after a bit. So, plug in, charge port will turn red showing an error, then a few seconds later it will turn green and you're good to go. Happens every time...
"look" nice. But you touch them and it feels like cheap plastic. Anything in the immediate field of touch should be a premium finish. Wrapping a back panel is common practice even for less expensive makes. GM took the cost cutting philosophy to the extreme back in the 2000's and it hurt them in...
The thing that irks me with these interior videos is that is where the customer spends 99% of their time when they're with their vehicle. He's pointed out maybe $2k worth of savings altogether. So, $2k worth of cost savings to give your $100k the look of a rental GM vehicle. The interior is not...
Haven't watched this one yet but I didn't care for the one he did on the 1st gen. Munroe is pure engineering/cost over anything else, including design. Sometimes you just want something nice regardless of if you could have saved a penny or made it a bit easier to produce and I don't think he...
I'm up north and my R1S is finishing up for service for the same clicks/pops from the front. They're quite loud. Like you said, I waited on the smaller less annoying things to bundle with one service visit since each one takes months to schedule. I don't mind at this point as everything has been...
I think the Gravity will be a fantastic EV. The biggest draw back to it is going to be that people associate it with being a minivan. That could be what does it in if it doesn't shine in every other way.
EV's in general are going to have a hard time until people just accept that it's a good powertrain and doesn't necessarily have to be because you're of a certain political or environmental mindset. Having actual blinker and wiper stalks would help too ?
Trust me, it's low priority. Rivian execs have more important things to do than worry about giving out free adapters. This is being handled by a smaller team that likely has 100 other things they're working on.
I don't think anybody said it was going to be quick. Everybody online assumed it would all ship in a few months and are disappointed that it's not sooner. With the whole supercharger team being fired to paused shipments, I'm sure Rivian is also throwing their hands in the air wondering how long...
Rivian likely doesn't know because Tesla is shipping them out and only finds out just before your batch goes out. No need to be upset with Rivian about that and I certainly wouldn't hinge your travel plans on getting one or not. If it's important enough, just buy an aftermarket adapter. I've...
No idea. I'm sure the app will tell you the rates. I don't think it's enough to matter unless you're charging constantly or subscribe to the monthly plan from Tesla
Just plug it in and Rivian charges you. If you use the Tesla app to start a session before plugging it in, Tesla charges you.
I just plug mine in and never bothered getting another app. Never had any issues.
