  1. Rivian Q4 FY2021 Earnings Call 3-10-22

China is not a significant part of the semiconductor supply chain. Taiwan is, but they are locked in a Cold War with China, so not likely to be helping China in any way.
  2. Rivian Q4 FY2021 Earnings Call 3-10-22

Theres nothing wrong with LFP, in fact the opposite if you don’t need max range. With LFP, you can charge to 100% all the time and not degrade the battery, with nickel, you should only charge to 100% occasionally when making long trips. LFP is also a way safer chemistry, so less likely to catch...
  3. April - May 2022 Delivery Club/Hype Thread

I hope you’re right! RJ is frustrating to listen to, hard to understand whether he is talking about the past, present or future.
  4. Rivian Q4 FY2021 Earnings Call 3-10-22

Yeah that's what I got from it. RJ often isn't very clear, is he? Almost like he doesn't want to be clear on things he thinks others are going to be disappointed about. Anyways, anyone know why Rivian didn't spend the last several years developing their own motors from the get go?
  5. Rivian Q4 FY2021 Earnings Call 3-10-22

Yes, in line with Tesla's first mass production ramp. It's just that people had pie in the sky dreams about Rivian (and Lucid and everyone else). Reality is hitting, and the stock price will likely settle down to something more rational until Rivian surprises ... 2 years from now. The company...
  6. Rivian Q4 FY2021 Earnings Call 3-10-22

One of the analysts tried hard to tell RJ that their prices were still too low. RJ completely missed the point, thought the guy was saying the opposite. And later in the call, the analyst's point was backed up by the Rivian marketing guy when he said they had more or less the same number of new...
  7. Rivian Q4 FY2021 Earnings Call 3-10-22

Most accurate statement made during the conference call! The guy feels me, ya know?
  8. April - May 2022 Delivery Club/Hype Thread

Based on what I heard on todays fourth quarter investor conference call, my guess is that V2H features are a future hardware thing that will be rolled into the product line late this year. Early customers won’t get it.
  9. April - May 2022 Delivery Club/Hype Thread

It was from a personal conversation from a person very high up, but it was also during a wine tasting, so I may have misheard exactly what was said ?
  10. April - May 2022 Delivery Club/Hype Thread

Ive got an April May R1S too. Keeping my fingers crossed. Supposedly R1S are being made for employees now. No CS contact yet.
  11. Anyone buying the $500 Rivian Wall Charger?

FYI, with the price increases today, it’s now the $750 wall charger. Which turns it from bargain to slightly overpriced (until everyone else raises their prices).
  12. R1T & R1S Updated Pricing, Configuration, Specs. Dual Motor Now Available

Fisker? I think people are forgetting that most EV startups are going to fail. Fisker is definitely on my death watch page…
  13. Any "March-April" delivery people contacted?

Thats the thing that annoys me about Rivian, I mean if they have parts shortages. They have very low volume and they had a long time to put in advance orders. Manufacturers were ramping up orders over a year ago since the possibility of a sh*tshow for supply chain was obvious back then. There is...
  14. In 4th year of waiting ... beginning to question if the wait is worth it

So far 0 vs 0 unless I missed one in the first half. But there have been a bunch of other EV commercials. Polestar, Silverado, BMW and a commercial for an EV Charger (Wall box I think?). What a waste of money for the ev charger.
  15. In 4th year of waiting ... beginning to question if the wait is worth it

Any idea if the production line has restarted after the fire a few days ago?
  16. Rivian Assembly line fire

Anyone know if assembly line has restarted?
  17. In 4th year of waiting ... beginning to question if the wait is worth it

Given that Rivian is supposedly making 200 trucks a week now, whey haven’t we seen any new posts here or elsewhere of new owners getting their deliveries? Or am I just blind and missing those posts?
  18. Rivian (NASDAQ:RIVN) Expected to Announce Quarterly Sales of $55.55 Million

That’s a lot of cars from a new company, new production line. Will be impressed if 2022 numbers are that high.
  19. Rants and Raves after 2 months of Rivian R1T ownership [DISCLAIMER: Unauthorized feedback from non-owner]

Yep, now that I looked it up, LG not only supplied the cells, but the battery pack too. Made it easy to apportion blame from a supplier perspective. I realize prismatic cells are being used by everyone else, but that doesn’t make them better.
