  1. Unofficial Lectron DCFC NACS to CCS 500A / 1000v YouTube interview with Lectron’s CEO by State of Charge. Review coming soon.

That is NOT a Lectron adapter review. That video was uploaded a month ago and was done before Tom even got his Lectron adapter. Tom will be uploading his actual Lectron adapter review soon. The video you posted was an interview with Lectron’s CEO.
  2. EA broke my truck*

Don’t forget that you get a free entrance into the lottery ā€œwill EA break my truck?ā€ Excitement guaranteed.
  3. Unofficial A2Z DCFC NACS to CCS 500A / 1000v adapter YouTube review.

Ive got an A2Z one, and if you need it quickly, then that’s your best bet. But it has a slight usability flaw that Lectron doesn’t have. When you plug in the Tesla plug, you have to manually slide a slider underneath the adapter to a locked position (and make sure it isn’t locked before you plug...
  4. EA broke my truck*

EA bought the cheapest chargers they could find at any given point to hit targets. No wonder they break all the time. It'll eventually go bankrupt and someone will buy it for the locations and replace the gear with functioning gear.
  5. āš”ļø Rivian announces: March Tesla Supercharger access & free NACS adapters!

Indeed, and I’m glad I bought my adapter early and didn’t listen to the naysayers here who said I shouldnā€˜t. I mean the mods even locked a thread because of a debate about buying/not buying an A2Z adapter. I was even called a shill for pointing out that A2Z was selling one. Not that I’m bitter...
  6. EA broke my truck*

I swear EA is a psyop to ruin as many EV experiences as possible.
  7. 3 Phase 240V Charging

Stop it guys! At no point did the OP ask about charging USING 3 phase power. He just said he had a bunch of 3 phase power receptacles. So the solution is to extract a single phase from such a power distribution system and use that. Indeed that's the solution that the OP himself suggested.
  8. 3 Phase 240V Charging

Of course if you own the winery, getting an electrician to wire in something like the Tesla Universal Wall Connector is also straight forward.
  9. 3 Phase 240V Charging

Your proposed solution is probably the best you’ll find I’m afraid. There just isn’t much of a call for adapting European plugs to North American ones! While it may seem kludgy, it’ll work well since the Tesla Mobile Connector will advertise to the car that it can draw a maximum of 25 amps or...
  10. Interesting interview with Ford CEO about how switch to NACS went down -- worth a listen

They are. New Superchargers will have longer cords and placed in the middle the parking spot to allow anyone to charge. The problem is the 15,000 existing charging stalls. It took Tesla 10 years to get to that many in North America, it'll take a long while to build out new and replacement...
  11. Tesla Supercharger access went live!... temporarily

Because if Ford is any indication, it can be many months before you get the free adapter.
  12. Interesting interview with Ford CEO about how switch to NACS went down -- worth a listen

That's not quite what Farley said. He said he had an employee of his contact Tesla a couple of years ago about using the Superchargers. Who knows what was relayed in that meeting. Tesla might have said, go ahead and change your charge port and then you can use it which would have been...
  13. Interesting interview with Ford CEO about how switch to NACS went down -- worth a listen

Lots of new info. Well worth listening to. TLDW summary by @JayinNJ !! Intro (00:00:00) Ford CEO Jim Farley announced Ford's transition from the J1772 and CCS1 plugs to Tesla's North American Charging Standard (NACS) or J3400 connector. This allows Ford vehicles access to Tesla's extensive...
  14. Passenger Side charging… why?

They have got to change it. It is the worst place in that it is farthest from the driver. And not Tesla SC compatible which is the best charging network.
  15. 4695 Batteries + Structural Pack

anyways, it was nice to see Rivian move away from their current double layer stacked battery pack since I still think that is a source of problems.
  16. Am I the Only One Who Thinks R3 Looks Dated Circa 1980s

Yep. The R1 is classic and practical. The R2 is … practical. The R3 looks awful. Hopefully for Rivian these designs aren’t set in stone.
  17. Ford NACS Adapter Released + Access to Tesla Superchargers Now Available

A2Z are now shipping their second batch of adapters since I just got an email saying mine’s on itā€˜s way, shipping via UPS. So far I haven’t heard of anyone receiving a Lectron adapter. And yeah, not sure how allocation is going to work on the Rivian end given Ford is backlogged on their...
