I switched out my 21s to Ram 20 inch wheels with Wild Peak tires a few weeks ago. Got our first real snow last week and and took the Truck out to test the tires. I was not impressed. Snow was wet with packed icy areas. Breaking was very poor, acceleration was just OK. My front wheel drive...
When I got my cover this summer I was concerned about strength. Figured if it was going to break it would be best if it broke the first week I owned it so I could send it back and get a new one. I stood on the edge of the bed and slowly stepped to the center of the tonneau cover. It held just...
Great idea. We have been doing the same thing for 34 years but in designated National Forest area in Utah. I like the bike pad Idea and look forward to heating food and drinks on the tailgate. We usually do it with 3 other families, it has been a tradition for years. The big difference is...
You can Dremel it out using a scotch bright pad or very fine sanding disc. It's probably clear coated but if you can get it cleaned up it may be easier to just wax it once in a while to keep it clean. You will never get it perfect unless you take the tire off and work on it. I did way worse...
Mine consistently show 45 PSI on the display when tires are cold. Checked actual pressure with 3 different pressure gauges and all 3 show 48 PSI. I trust the tire gauges.
Wow, My original post about having a freindly conversation has turned this entire thread into a very contentious conversation with lots of hate. I apologize for that. Maybe a better explanation of my situation will calm things down. On my first road trip in the Rivian this summer I was...
I have found that a polite conversation with a charging customer and explaining the difference between fast chargers and their cars capability to utilize all the power they are plugged into will result in them being very willing to switch chargers with you. I have done that twice and both...
Park City, Utah to Las Vegas yesterday. 450 miles south on I-15. Stopped in Beaver, Utah at EA chargers. 4 charger station, 2 filled with Ford Lightings. Plugged into 350 amp charger, walked across the street for coffee and bathroom break. By the time I got back to truck I had all the range...
Take a tongue depressor and push the foam back in. You have to look pretty hard to notice that problem. Or, sit in the seat with a screw driver in your back pocket and poke a hole in the seat cover when you get out. that way your eye will always see the hole and you won't see the very minor...
Sort of messing with the forum. I have yet to mount my front plates because I don't want to drill holes in the front plastic fairing and I have not seen a front mount that I liked. I put a Velcro tab on my compressor door but on occasion It will still pop open. In the pictures posted you can...
Two things I notice that they did not address. The air compressor door in the truck bed does not stay closed, like every other R1T, and they did not provide a convenient place to mount a front license plate. No way would I ever buy this unless they fix those problems.
Agree, I just wrote the reply poorly. I corrected it but really just wanted to point out if you have an aluminum dent it's best to ask the shop if they have worked on aluminum.
Some Rivian panels are aluminum which is way different to repair compared to a steel panel. Aluminum is more difficult to work. So if you are looking for a shop to pull a dent, make sure you ask them if they know how to work with aluminum. I have done lots of work on aluminum aircraft panels...
I got home today from a 6 day trip of camping and biking in Capital Reef but I went in my Sprinter Van. During the time I was there I saw a Rivian, your color, and thought I should have gone in my truck, could have been you. Thanks for the trip report. It should be very easy for me to do the...
The blinker noise is not loud enough. I have left my blinker on so many times that I no longer use it, instead I went old school. Left hand turns are signaled with a left arm out the window and finger pointed in that direction. Right hand turns are indicated with the left arm out the window...
And also make sure you get the proper wheel centering rings. Not having the proper centering ring will cause all kinds of problems with wheel balance and weight distribution when wheels are installed on the car.
Just make sure the spokes on wheel clear the front brake caliper. The Dodge wheels have the same offset but some of them will not clear the brake. That's why it's important to get the correct wheel model if going the Dodge route. The wheel spokes are different thickness. The Tirerack wheels...
Just a heads-up. I went to Discount Tire yesterday to buy WildPeak A/T3W tires and have them installed on the Dodge Wheels. I told the salesman I was going to put them on a Rivian but I would put them on the truck in early December when the snow starts. He said he could not install them on...
