I hope that by the time my order is built and arrives that this center is open. Having to drive 100+ miles to Richmond, VA isn't ideal. You'd think that a center in the suburbs of Washington, DC would have been no brainer. At least, Northern VA!
OMG, that looks sweet! Did you go with quad motors? Congrats! But, based on your timing, I've may have a ways to go. I reserved in June of this year! :crying:
I went out to the Venice hub and played there for a few hours with an R1S. I immediately tried the wireless charger that didn't work. The rep said it was because of the case: Outerbox Defender. Other wireless chargers had no problems including the one in the Model Y. So, it looks like I'll have...
As capable as I think I am, I really don't see myself trying this either especially roadside. And, from what I've been seeing of the necessary jacks to do it, I don't see myself driving around with one of them AND a full-sized spare.
At this point in my life (60+), IDGAS! This purchase is a splurge for decades of sacrifice and saying "no"! The economy be damned. I've been through enough upturns, downturns and sideturns to know that the "economy" always "rights" itself for its own sake not mine. I don't blame you for being...
CONFIRMED!
Me: I read that whether warranty or not, if the vehicle has to be towed to a service center, there would a towing fee.
Rivian Rep: That is correct. At this time. We are only covering tows for vehicles that are not drivable due to a warranty-related issue. If the vehicle is drivable...
Wow! I was under the impression that the only center for the DMV was in Richmond. They best open that Bethesda center right back up if they're going to stick with this policy. My excitement (and patience) is beginning to wane especially when there are other options (cough Tesla, cough). But, I...
Ahhh, ok!! I'm just trying my best to shave off enough $$$ to bring me closer to quad motor, more range and good looks, LOL! I'd even take the suggestion above of powder coating the whole wheel in black and replacing the center cap when it's available.
I was watching this YT video on Rivian wheel/tire efficiency where they suggest that the aero inserts could be removed from the 21" road wheels. Does anyone have a picture of this? It would help me decide somethings aesthetically.
