What's really funny is I have two sons who learned how to drive over the last 3 years. Both of them never look at the gas gauge, they base it on how many miles the dash says they have left. Never say 'I have a quarter of tank left' instead 'I have 120 miles left'. The gauge would be ok for an...
In Europe they pay way more for gas. Public charging is what it is, where do you charge 90% of the time? Personally I am using my home system which is also powered by solar. Yes public is expensive but over the cost of a year my cost per mile is way less.
No one really knows these answers.
What will a tri-motor R2 cost? They said ~70k, but with Trump and his tariffs who knows what the actual cost will be, maybe 90 maybe 65 maybe 70.
How much range do you feel we can realistically expect from a tri-motor R2? No one knows it would only be a...
12V can be jumped from connectors by the trailer hitch. If that doesn't work then it drained the HV battery as well. Rivian service has always done right by customers but you haven't provided enough information other to complain things are down.
When my 12v died Rivian towed it to the...
I was in Reston Virginia last week and came across this Mercedes charger. 12 400kw chargers with an amazing design. Tap your card and pick your port, charge away. Not only were the cables supported by a retractable cable but a moving metal arm above the charger. Genius design and it worked...
I would never buy a Tesla before but Musk's behavior has made it even more of a likelihood that I won't buy his vehicles in the future. With regards to the SuperCharger I don't seek them out and if I have a choice would go elsewhere but if my only choice is a Tesla charger that is what I would...
Does the app show anything? If the app shows the vehicle is offline and the doors won't open then the 12V appears to be dead. You can jump it there is a documented procedure and that might get the doors to open . Not enough info here to provide any really good advice.
Latest updated worked...
Lots of people have never owned a minivan. I am aware that there are vehicles with lots of space but compared to most SUVs on the market the Rivian is great with regards to space.
I am not holding my breath. Edison/Iselin was 2 years in the making then just disappeared. Trenton is fine as anything is better than driving to Brooklyn.
Today I had to drive down to Virginia for work. Stopped in Belcamp MD for a charge, first RAN experience. Things worked as expected. About 5 minutes from my hotel is a group of Mercedes chargers, this worked well too.
I picked up my R1S (Green Machine) 2 years ago today. This was our first EV but was 100% ready to go for it. Before I picked it up I had a JuiceBox installed hooked up to a NEMA 14-50 outlet. 2 weeks after taking delivery we drove to Boston from central NJ for college tours, even getting hit...
I would look at this from Grizzl-E. Solves the problem without having to be managed by a manual change and not much more than the Home Depot switch.

January car sales usually suck, they do so much to move before year end. I think the Rivian numbers will fluctuate greatly until the R2. Only so many people can afford a 80-110k vehicle and want one of this size. The R2 will move quickly
