  1. Charging details from a 7400 mile trip (spoiler alert no real issues)

Epic indeed. Great report details. Excited to take similar trips myself in a few years.
  2. R1T visits RIT

Nice trip report and observations on the R1T. And thanks all for the hike recommendations! I've yet to take a long enough trip that charging was required so these details are helpful. As for the Rivian nav - it's just not at the level of Google at all and I use Waze as a "nav source of truth"...
  3. Attention R1T Dog Owners: I May Have Created the Perfect Dog Set-Up for the Back Seat (with caveats)

^This setup does allow one passenger who loves dogs to be part of the back row by clicking in belt via an access on the hammock. Or in a rush I just put the chairs in...
  4. Attention R1T Dog Owners: I May Have Created the Perfect Dog Set-Up for the Back Seat (with caveats)

Cool approach to limit access and contain your pet. We have smaller dogs and use an Amazon hammock setup with two dog "chairs" that dogs sit in, with harnesses on and fastened to LATCH connectors. It's pretty fast to take in and out, but dog hair proves that entropy exists and gets everywhere...
  5. Delivery Experience and Impressions After 1 Month | 2024 R1T DM Adventure El Cap with AT

Nice writeup! Another satisfied 2024 R1T AT Large Pack DM owner here (but I did find one with the Performance option). Still loving it after 2+ months.
  6. Oregon EV Sportline CP/AA Screen $130

My offer to buy from 8/6 is still open.
  7. Rivian Referral Code Program ("Rivian Rewards") Announced

(joining bandwagon) I'm happy to help anyone with pre and post purchase questions. Want to test drive an R1T before purchase? DM me. Rivian Buyers! Consider using my referral code when you check out - and you will get 750 referral points to spend in the Gear Store! Win-Win for all :)...
  8. Gen 1 Vampire Drain (Possibly) Solved (or Hacked)

All great data and work! I think the approach for two battery R1s should be removing the frunk and running a separate fused SAE connection from the towhook area to each battery. I use these all the time and they allow connection of any battery maintainer (even the NICO with an SAE adapter)...
  9. Is Service Manual available to the public? Looking to DIY fabricate steel front bumper and rear bumper for my R1S

Signing on in the event that documentation is forthcoming. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motor_Vehicle_Owners'_Right_to_Repair_Act
  10. Nahar (my R1T) towing UHaul 5x8 trailer -- Huntsville AL to Chattanooga TN

Good info. UHaul trailers are cheap and convenient but they sure aren't lightweight.
  11. R1S bricked in my driveway

Your 12v battery is likely less than 3 years old. This is pretty poor lifespan. I am guessing you have two batteries vs. one lead acid batt and a capacitor.
  12. "New" 12V Battery Jump Start process update from Rivian

Might be time to use the manual process to open the frunk.
  13. Stuck in mud! Help pull me out -- ideas or assistance in Saugerties/Woodstock/Catskills NY area?

I wish you well. If you can get some recover boards and shovel it will be some work - but you should be able to back out.
  14. Yes, Rivian does report the speed limit as 80 MPH

I didn’t realize the speed limit signs were being read to provide the driver screen speed limit data. Thought it was from GPS data. Interesting….
  15. Stuck in mud! Help pull me out -- ideas or assistance in Saugerties/Woodstock/Catskills NY area?

You’ll need a lot of gravel. A lot. Probably more than you could easily get back there. Instead a shovel and clearing out a ramp where you are dug in, then using recovery boards are one way to self recover. A winched vehicle connected to a recovery strap attached to a hitch pin in the...
  16. Charging Rate Drops After an Hour…

No such issues with my Emporia charger which is outside in direct sunlight (as is the R1T) during a blazing hot July this year. I charge during the day BTW.
