I think test results is a great guess but based on the information provided and current trend on not releasing vehicle specific information, I'm going to say accessories. Tent, cross bars, and a surprise or two. Hopefully, this actually includes pricing or at least a date for the configurator to...
I think you are over estimating how long things can take especially considering they only have to match hiring to production. They most likely want to only run a skinny staff for the first 3-6 months and have them travel more as they setup events and do deliveries.
Plus, It honestly shouldn't...
Insurance.
Rivian I think wants to own the whole vertical. They'll get the data, have extra access with service, and guides will help with claims.
Or no news is still a high possibly.
Was told a long time ago that on non-max pack that the rear seats will fold up and would have some storage.
On max pack they were going to use that space for extra batteries.
But does it have to? Just spit balling but couldn't they put a cover over the cut out. It doesn't have to be high tech to get the feature AND keep drag down.
Who wants to spec a system for portable solar charging on the R1T? Something that can be put out on the bed/cover when parked in sunny areas and get a decent enough charge over the course of a day and get 1 or more kwh.
I'm posting in the hopes that Rivian is stalking this board for customer feedback. They clearly are still making decisions since they said the 180 isn't even an option anymore (even though they clearly featured it for a period of time) and with all the check back later, to be revealed in the...
The 180 tailgate with a step integrated was a nice solution. When that got taken away paired with the already narrow bumper, to enable 180 drop, it basically made it impossible to access the bed from the rear with the tailgate up or down. Design change should also have added a step on the bumper.
Heard the same when I reached out several days ago in that if you want to get in and out of the bed to use the gear tunnel but the seems sub optimal for loading/unloading. Also, I have kids that would have to go head first into the bed from the gear tunnel to get over the side. Seems like a cut...
Bump. Been searching for something about how a gooseneck tailgate is setup/works but can't find anything. Anybody have any ideas how this is going to be setup?
Side note, I saw the 180 tailgate is off the table. Previously there were some pics out there where they had a flip out step when it...
