there was a component that had a recall or something before I took delivery. My car was one of the few that had the defective part in it. When they swapped the chip it seems they didn’t calibrate it correctly to my specific vehicle which cause the code to throw an error when it tried to sync my...
I got the 2024.19.06 release myself. I did have a sync issue and a Dev told me they fixed my car with a code change and pushed the update to me. So, I assume it contains a variety of patches like this with it. Everything else seems to work fine for me
So last update. They had a tech dig into it more. A part they swapped before I took delivery caused a code error that cause a sync issue on RAN chargers. They did a software patch along with the new software update and my car works now on RAN. pretty amazing they did this honestly.
I haven't gotten my update yet either. Honestly I don't mind. Its the same great car it was this whole time. It'll come and I'll update it when I have time to and it'll be fun and awesome. I agree with everyone that says it just nice to have a car the improves over time. Thats still awesome to me.
When I took delivery of my R1S in March I had a part swap needed before I took delivery, they had to delay that a week. To compensate they did a free home delivery. That part swap messed up RAN charging for me it seems which took months of reaching out and nearly begging for help to get it...
UPDATE:
Finally got someone from Rivian who potentially figured the issue out. I had to reach out again and got a support rep who just sat on the chat with me for hours while he worked to get someone to give my case a proper review. Then a Lead called me and decided to just own my issue until...
. In the affordable mass market category I’d almost say they need a basic car without a lot of special features and a solid 300+ mile range with good charging. Then a price tag that makes it on par with an ICE car of the same specs. I also wonder what other commercial type vehicles we could see
Thats a good theory too. I compared the VIN on my car itself on the windshield to the one in my rivian app and they do match. I just wonder if there is something elsewhere that doesnt now.
Yeah The truck is in my name, my name on the account, my name on the card and the payment isnt even attempted by the bank at all. Id think it would at least get to this step if the rejection was payment details of any kind, but it seems like they are not even trying.
Actually called the bank and they said the payment was never hitting them at all. At first I thought they were but both credit and debit card with them were tried and the same for a different bank. I’m both the owneer and driver too.
All good things to try I think. The difficulty now is the closes RAN to me is like an hour drive away. So I can retest I guess next time I’m near one but then this whole process feels like trial and error over the next few months which is frankly weird to me at this point. Currently I have to...
