Based on the timeline here and comments I might just order the A2Z adapter now and not wait. I have a good long road trip in September and got my R1S this year only. Worst problem then is I have 2 adapters in my car which isnt a bad thing if one has an issue.

Yeah I think when you do the math you can maybe get and extra 20-40 miles additional by bringing lots of everything with you and being super creative but that is offset by just stopping to charge for a few minutes in the end.
