After the previous update my Gen 2 was always hugging the left side of the lane in highway assist, so even though that was a bug, it is certainly possible to enable it
Brought the car to Safelite on Monday afternoon, the guy takes one look and says it's too big, they won't fix it. I asked why their questionnaire for glass insurance says under 6 inches is OK and he said he'll go ask inside if they think they can do it. While I'm waiting I call Nationwide and...
Looks good. Thank you
Thanks. Safelite coming this afternoon. I can't imagine a small chip on the bottom right on the passenger side will require any sort of recalibration, but it will be in the SC Tuesday anyway so timing works out.
I also have free repairs with Nationwide ($500 deductible for replacement). But the world of insurance is always a bit shady to me. At what point do they decide to raise your rates?
This looks so cool. I doubt I could ever pull it off, but maybe if I lived in Miami instead of NY...
Moot point anyway. I would hate to move to Miami and give up winters. My wife would love to, but she would never allow that color scheme.
Thanks. Although I doubt anyone is doing anything for free 😂
I also had asked the SC after posting and they said they could only replace, not repair, so seems like my decision is pretty easy.
Question now is should I get a protective film going forward, and if so what's recommended? Is tgat...
Just got a chip while driving today. Didn't see anything but heard what I thought was my plastic water bottle popping, until my wife noticed the new crack. Just so happens I have a SC appointment next week. Do I just add this on to the request or is this not something they would do there...
I read this as massaging support and was wondering if the G2s were getting it and you were disappointed that it wasn't going to the G1s. Now I'm disappointed 😢
While I'm not a big fan of the current navigation system, lately it has been more accurate than Waze in determining arrival time. Google Maps is usually worse, and recent reports are showing poor rerouting functions. That being said, I think overall this is a good idea, as it frees up Rivian to...
Now that I finally received my refund, I figured I'd post my experience on a couple of the threads here that I've been following both as a conclusion and to hopefully help anyone else. Fortunately (or unfortunately if you're looking for some good tips) it was pretty uneventful for me.
Signed...
Inches? Amateur!
I had this on my Chrysler Pacifica a few years ago. I liked playing with it but for me it was just that - a toy. Not a necessity for anyone who learned to drive in NY. My wife learned in NJ, where apparently an orange cone 100 feet away passes as "parallel parking," so it did...
That would be nice, but I think of more benefit would be to show predicted range effects based on a mapped trip. Why would I need to know how my current drive would be affected by going downhill if my druluve is going to b level or uphill?
I'm not familiar with Tesla's implementation of this, but the Rivian does now show an estimate of energy use for the next hour based on current driving. I imagine having some sort of comparison graph of actual vs expected (if that's what we're looking for) shouldn't be too hard.
