No problems on my end. I've got my Uniden R7 hardwired into my Gen 1 fuse box (using a fuse tap) on the driver's side footwell...it still works beautifully.
That charging speed makes good headlines. However, if you're like me, it probably doesn't mean very much UNLESS I'm on a long road trip. 99% of the time the charger I've got in my garage gives me more range than I need on a daily basis at a much cheaper cost. In fact, I could have gotten away...
I also had a post deleted. I didn't think it was overtly political...definitely less political than many posts I've read on here. Oh well....c'est la vie. It's all good, we're all still posting, so we weren't banned from the site.
I used this one:

It was cheap and VERY easy to install...just clip to the sun visor. I used a small piece of foam about an inch thick to tilt the sunvisor down a little bit so the detector was completely level. It's worked great and the power wires tuck...
One question that I've been curious about. I realize that you're supposed to pay attention when using OpenPilot. However, what happens in an emergency situation, such as an idiot pulls out in front of you, etc. Does OpenPilot react BEFORE you do even though you were attentive??? ...OR do you...
@DayTripping thanks for the info. Looks like I'll have some things to play around with once my harness and unit get here in a few weeks. It sounds like the "basic" Rivian program will be a good place to start. From reading posts in this thread, it seems like some folks are still working...
@DayTripping I'm a little confused about that chart you just posted showing different OpenPilot fork comparisons. What's the difference between SunnyPilot and FrogPilot????? It looks like the exact same features are checked for BOTH of them.
I know I'm in the minority here, but those wheels are definitely NOT my cup of tea. They look like what my wheels looked liked after I removed the hubcaps from my early '70s Chevy Chevelle when I was in high school. They're basic rims for God's sake!!!! Rivian has to love them....put an off...
I see an arbitrage opportunity here. Buy them up at scrap metal prices from all the poor schmoes who now have buyer's remorse...then call up the Chinese and Russians and tell them you've got prototypes of the United States' newest "military vehicle" that you're willing to sell to them for the...
I didn't have the SAME issue with my Gen 1 RiT, but I had some problems with locking/unlocking when I approached or exited my truck. I noticed that my settings had BOTH the Fob and Phone enabled to use as a key. Since I never carried the fob at that point, it must have been set by the service...
That sounds super! I think they are having their "hack-a-thon" this weekend (or next). Does anyone know if they're trying to incorporate any of the recent AI advancements reported in the media (chips, models, etc.) into the Comma and OpenPilot...OR are they just focusing on getting the...
Don't know if this helps explain things or not. This came from the [Banned Site]...so giving credit where credit is due.
Yes my friends it can be done, or at least the effects of VD significantly reduced:
TLDR: The root problem is that the 12v battery is vastly undersized, in...
When I said "these systems" I was referring to "self driving systems" in the general sense....NOT specifically Comma. Yes, it seems that some systems have an issue with a stationary object. That's why I wanted to see how Comma handled this. Since Comma uses "vision" (rather than radar), I...
Does he give the guy in the Amish buggy a middle finger salute when he whips around him on the country roads????
Sorry....saw you were over in Lititz....I'm a York County guy here and couldn't help myself.
