I don’t own a RTT, but the thing that intrigues me most about them is elevating from the ground to get away from snakes, scorpions and spiders.
I can't speak to the Gen 2 R1S Performance upgrade, or even to the Gen 1 Performance Dual, but I loving driving in Sport mode with the Gen 1 Quad in both the R1T and R1S. It's my preferred drive mode.
They are already rolling off the assembly line, this isn't Lucid's first product, and they just received another $1.5B in funding. You will see these on the road soon.
Rivian won't let you purchase a vehicle in one state and register it in another. I know because I tried to purchase a R1T in Oregon and register it in California, and my order was immediately cancelled by Rivian once I shared my intentions. This was confirmed by multiple guides / sales reps as well.
I agree that car seat accommodation is one of Rivian's biggest misses. I'm still incredibly surprised that Rivian didn't integrate seatbelts directly into the R1S' second row seats to allow the seats to slide forward while car seats are strapped in. As it stands now, there is no practical way to...
It's better looking in person than in photos. Even still, I think the design is polarizing. I like it; I feel it has this mid-century, retro futuristic vibe. However, my wife is also in the minivan camp.
I look forward to sitting in all three rows, and driving it when it reaches showrooms this...
There are still quite a few Gen 1 R1Ts in the Canadian shop; including two dozen Quad Motors. I think it’s possible that some of this stock is moved to the US shop if the inventory doesn’t sell. But I’m obviously speculating. Good luck.
