Is that the Rivian app connection error? Looks familiar.
Kind of bad form. Error messages should inform the user of the problem. “sideways” not so much.
I prefer charging while the sun is up, more self-consumption, ease the grid. This doesn’t allow that, only for pricing as the sole factor as it relates to TOU.
Charging a car is a mundane task. It is stored with all of the over times you’ve charged your car.
A Post-It on the steering wheel or something akin to motorcycle wheel locks that have a reminder cable.
Guess I wrongly assumed Rivian was including CCS>NACS adapters for NACS equipped vehicles. I must have mistakenly picked that up in the forum.
I have a Gen1 CCS R1T. I bought the opposite adapter (NACS>CCS) from A2Z to use with Superchargers (and such) before Rivian sent me their free NACS>CCS...
@gerrylum thanks for the videos.
I guess you don’t power down the 3x either when disconnecting.
I’m probably ok with the Comma sliding mount. You had said you don’t use magnetic USB-C for the main Comma power but looks like there’s a similar mechanism on the Chun mount.
What’s the appeal of...
Curious, I left the Comma attached while parked and have seen it get very hot. I’m using the Comma supplied mount.
Removing it is kind of a pain. I inevitably smudge one of the camera. Then the cables are just hanging there.
I tried using my HeatShield but the Comma is in the way if I leave it...
I eventually got the Comma 3x fuse tap installed and is working mostly as expected.
I eventually got EV Play installed and working (for the last several days).
I’ll follow up with a longer post.
I have a mobile service appointment for Rivian to fix a seat belt they messed up recently while...
@portdirect Guess you’ve never driven a Tesla. It’s continuously placing semis (erm, lorries), bikes, people, and more in random places. Not sure about the dance moves though.
I don’t have PTC on my 2023 Quad R1T.
I just scheduled an appointment for a PTC install, the 1st day they’re available 10/15 at El Segundo SC for ~$3100 including tax. I don’t have a PTC button currently.
Will I live to regret this? TBD…
Gen 1 leans very heavily on maps to compensate/mask limited hardware. Gen 2’s more capable hardware relies much less on maps. I’m sure someone deeper into it can elaborate. I don’t know if Gen 2 will ever not require mapped roads. I vaguely remember that being aspirational.
My R1T is similar in that I had PTC on my order, but Rivian pulled the v1 off the market while I was awaiting production and I had to reconfigure without PTC.
At the time, what did you pay?
I had a SOS failure warning that was persistent. They had my truck for 2 weeks and replaced the TCM and shark fin antenna. 🤷‍♂️
I never actually lost LTE is the funny part.
