See what the quote is if you dig the trench yourself. Usually electricians hate having to do that type of stuff. Digging it yourself could save a few thousand.
My list of things that I wouldn't really miss (I originally wanted the Explore trim):
Pano roof. I don't notice it much, only backseat passengers really do
Camp speaker
Vegan leather seats
Wood trim
Powered charge port
Are there any tire shops or mechanics in Southeast Michigan that have Rivian jack pucks?
I'm going to order some winter tires. Usually I go to Discount Tire but they don't' have any Nokians in stock. So I will order the Nokians online and need to find a place that will mount and install them...
My hopes:
1. Option for no regen in Snow Mode
2. Fix for the crazy HVAC system blowing cold air even when it's freezing outside
3. Easier access to cameras (preferably some way where it auto activates if speed is <10 mph and parking space lines are detected).
4. Less vampire drain
that does help, thank you.
i would assume that the rivian's algorithms make hundreds/thousands of measurements per second and could react quickly enough to this and simulate something like an open diff. But I understand thats not happening with current settings.
ok thanks. I'm trying to thoroughly understand all of this because often visit family who live at the bottom of a steep and cambered hill. It's often very very icy. I'm not worried about sliding down the hill but rather sliding off to the side. If the Rivian has any issues with lateral movement...
Let's say I have my R1T pugged in at home to L1 or L2. If I hit "stop charging" in the app before the truck has reached the charge limit, will the truck continue to ask for some power in order to maintain the current state of charge?
For example, if I hit "stop charging" when the truck is at...
Any else have an issue where the suspension is very noise and "clunks" or more accurately sounds like a "ping"?
This happens on the highway every time I hit a tiny bump or road imperfection. It's annoyingly very loud.
I experience this in all drive modes and all suspension settings.
My R1T has been sitting at the service center in Michigan since last week in ~10*F temperatures. I pick it up next week.
Does anyone know if they keep the trucks trickle charged at SCs (I don't think so)?
I'm being paranoid but would hate for there to be any permanent damage from the battery...
Thanks, time to read the user manual for me. I'm getting mine delivered next week and am going to call the service center to see if they will mount snow tires before delivery. But if not, I'm going to Discount Tire.
For those that have had tire install places (ex. Costco, Discount Tire) put on new tires, how are those places handling jacking up Rivians?
My understanding is that the jacking points are unique and it isn't as simple to just put the trucks on a lift.
For those of you with the phone mounted near the center dash and low enough that it is blocked by the steering wheel -
Is it relatively easy to shift in your seat enough to view the full screen?
Like occasionally if I want to view the full screen to check a Google Maps direction, can I lean...
