Yeah guess it's all luck on who you get, but my guide(s) have been pretty good with responding and answering all my question.
Reason I put guides is because it's not just one person, but a specific team for your area. At least that's the case for me.
I just called my guide, as we've put about 1000 miles since accepting Rivian's trade-in. They confirmed that 3,000 miles is the max, but they like to see no more than 1,000 since the quote. He asked that I not take any long road trips with the vehicle and that we will not be impacted with the...
I thought it was 3,000 miles? I'm looking through my agreement, which states under section 14:
"You represent, warrant, and covenant that the information provided to Rivian is true, complete, and accurate and there will be no material changes in that information prior to transfer of possession...
Yikes, I assume you're referring to a Model 3. With the recent price drops I bet trade-in values took a major hit.
I locked in a trade back in July, and I accepted Rivian's offer of $24,000 for my 2018 Model 3 LR with 55k miles.
To add to my saga, step finally opened up to schedule delivery for this weekend. Texted the SC to confirm this morning and was told there is a glitch and that the vehicle hasn't arrived yet.
I understand your frustration. My original VIN was assigned and allowed me to schedule delivery, turns out the actual vehicle was across the country in California. New shop vehicle selected, and was told 2 weeks to arrive from Normal to my SC back on 8/7. Last night the step opened up to...
Yeah I received an email from my guide on 8/7 saying 2 weeks to Brooklyn, and then a text message from the SC on 8/12 saying the truck is on the way.
Did your online status change, or receive the "Truck is leaving factory" email that people receive? My portal is still saying delivery...
Congrats on the R1S. I selected a shop vehicle on 7/26 same day as you and still do not have delivery date yet (was told vehicle in transit from factory). We are both Brooklyn, SC so maybe they are prioritizing "S" right now (I have a T).
Submitted mine on a Friday (8/4), and loan was approved the following Tuesday (8/8), much faster than I anticipated. When I spoke with the lending department they said to expect about a week due to increased applications.
Congrats! Look on the bright side at least you knew when your vehicle left the factory. I just have to take my guide’s word that mine is leaving this week.
Someone on Reddit just posted that their R1S has been sitting at the Brooklyn center for close to a month waiting for final QA and delivery date scheduling. Yikes
