I'm curious, are we supposed to get a "Ready to leave factory" email? My online status still says Delivery scheduling opens soon/final QA check, but guide says truck should be leaving Normal this week and reach my SC in 2 weeks.
Well, if someone with an unbroken OEM cover doesn't want theirs let me know. Everything in my gut tells me to go with aftermarket options but I'm a sucker for punishment.
Yeah at this point, will probably just pick up BF3's version. Cheaper and looks to be able to take a beating. Add to that, who knows when Rivian will make the cover available on the gear shop (assuming they don't release a revised version seeing these are arriving broken during shipping).
Part of me wants it because I'm a "OEM" kind of guy, but jeez you think for the cost the rails would be more solid. Heck I might drop the panels on the corners when taking it off but I don't think it'll stand up to long term use.
I've used Peotter's before and they are pretty good. I believe they were one of the first "certified" Tesla shops in the area, and do work on some pretty high end vehicles.
Was given shop access on 7/25, and selected a vehicle (R1T) matching my configuration on 7/26. Status has been sitting on "Delivery scheduling opens soon", and speaking with my guide last week he stated vehicle was still in Normal and to check back with him next week for an update.
Between first mile this weekend, to deposit same day. Saw I had shop access this morning and this afternoon quite a few R1T's popped up. Found the exact spec I wanted and confirmed, VIN in 23,xxx range.
I don't even have a guide assigned yet...
