First of all congrats! As you know from owning a prior EV, there are some items that are more unexpected compared to an ICE vehicle.
The rattles in my Tesla were horrible. By comparison the R1S interior is a vast improvement. Granted, there was a time when you don't have to pay north of 60k for...
Volvo and to an extension Polestar are making great vehicles. If the EX90 came out first, I would have bought that instead of the R1S. Hopefully this guy can help with the QC and Service Center issues a lot of folks have.
If you have a child, and you want to be more comfortable transporting them around, buy the Rivian. If your weekend car is higher on your priority or you don't think you'll find another fun car in the secondary market to your liking, keep the Porsche.
I have this debate with a friend of mine...
I was going to go with the Canyon Red, but the rear light bar is also red, but not the same type of red. It clashes by being similar but not the same. Never thought I would get a green painted car, but I think the Evergreen looks fantastic.
Just to circle back here and update on my specific issue. I received a thermal fault warning and the AC was not blowing cold air. CS on the phone said, I can still drive my car home while walking me through the 3 resets they wanted me to perform (infotainment, hard and sleep). The error...
The new wheel introduced with the R2 looks great. Haptic feedback with dynamic scrolling look like it should be a big improvement to the current steering wheel controls.
Grats, but as others said PPF is the one that helps against rock chips. Some folks (myself included) get a PPF wrap, and then have ceramic coating applied on top of it to try and get the most protection from rock chips and contaminates.
I haven't found any inconsistencies from the pedal. I still own my Model 3 and drive it on occasion, but I much prefer the regen and one pedal experience on my R1S. Yes there is a more force required to engage the accelerator, but It's not inconsistent and it has never prevented me from parallel...
That's scary. I got the thermal fault last week and the CSR had me go through the three restarts. I was able to snap a picture of the warning and capture the diagnostic log through the main screen. When I was on the phone with them, the appointment was 2 months away, but they were able to...
Oof, you have my sympathies. You are exhibiting a great amount of restraint imo. Hopefully they fix your vehicle quickly and won't run into this again.
