a really good point about public chargers. I think I am going to put a kit in my car with some swabs and alcohol wipes so I can clean when I use them @ hotels
Clipper creek just said check it occasionally and clean it with the foam (not cotton) swabs and rubbing alcohol. We have a lot of spiders/bugs during the summer here in Vermont so I am going to check it weekly and see what happens. I also never used the rubber cap that can cover the connector...
This didnāt affect our Rivian but our 2014 BMW i3. I just wanted to make people aware of this potential problem with Level 2 charging.
We have had the i3 for 10 years and always charged with Level 2 Clipper creek charger that we mount outside on the garage wall. Last week we couldnāt release...
First one was a small one on week one of ownership. Was on the way to get the rear dent PDRād in Las vegas (happened day 2 of ownership @ trailhead). We decided not to do anything because it was small, not in visual field and knew we were doing some backpacking trips off dirt roads and a drive...
I have a service appointment @ montreal service center in 2 weeks. They said they just opened yesterday.
So glad I can do the 90 minute drive from Vermont instead of driving 4 hours to Boston.
i have the right pull on a dual motor so obviously no right motor bias. They did a front alignment and no change. Mildly annoying so interested if anyone has gotten a fix.
we went a bit different route because we stopped @ my sonās in West Virginia but we stopped @
1) Tru by Hilton Denver Airport (a more expensive but nicer hotelis The Golden Hotel in downtown Golden CO.
2) Candlewood suites in Independence MO
3) South wind motel - Columbus OH (Highly...
Our route
- day 1 was i15 to i70 (charged @ EA in Salida UT then Rivian in Grand Junction, EA in Edwards CO, Hotel in Denver).
- day 2 was i70 with charges @ Colby Ks (EA), Abeline KS (Tesla) Hays KS Rivian) EV Go (I canāt remeber where) Columian MO (rivian) & hotel in Columbia MO
- day 3 was...
The dual has the automatic switch to front motor only which was used most of the time that I looked. We just rotated the tires @6K just before the trip but donāt notice anything that would indicate uneven wear so far.
We travelled 2835 Miles from St. george UT to the Champlain Islands in Vermont in 5 days of driving. Stopped in Denver (L2 Charge @ hotel), Independence MO (L2 Charge @ hotel), Columbus OH (L2 Charge @ hotel), Hedgesville WV (no charging @ sonās home).
We pretty much stayed around the speed...
I was looking to sign up for the Supercharger membership thinking I would save some money on our upcoming trip across the country. I am not sure if this is new language but it says you are limited to using a supercharge 5 times a day.
Probably not an issue but something to be aware of if one...
Thanks to warmer temps and less highway driving, our efficiency has been climbing.
R1S, 21 AS, Dual Max pack delivered @ end of Feb ā24
We live near St. George UT and most of our miles are on local roads with 30-40 mph speed limits though includes a 800 mile trip to Palm springs and a few...
I guess we are lucky with our R1S Max pack as it has very little engine/interver? noise - especially compared to our prior R1T quad. Hope Rivian fixes it for you all.
Yep - Canyon country has 3 chargers (I think) and entrada escalante has one (tesla). The OfLand has modern cabins that look very nice/lux but I am not sure they have 14-50 but I might call and ask next time I go.
