Thanks to everyone for their information. All the info is good. It looks like I'll be getting a regular one and an XL. I'll also be using the bottle jack. I've had scissor jacks in the past and haven't had a good experience. Although it was in Chicago in the winter, the problem was reversed...
Advice of JackPucks. I don’t plan on any
Off-road trips with my R1S but I am wondering what advice would you give on quantity of jack pucks and either the regular or XL? Not sure why I’d need more than one either? Suggestions ?
To clarify. I set my charging location while the vehicle was in the garage to where I am but it moved twice now. It needs to be outside, where I get GPS reception and then it stays even though the app had GPS
Yeah, I never looked at that. I guess I assumed that the app knew where the car was it would just follow the schedule. If you click on vehicle location icon it shows correctly. But the charging map showed a different location. Not sure why it doesn’t use the icon location.
Thanks all for the heads up. I would’ve never thought that was necessary. In fact I never even looked at that little map. I just assumed that it would do the schedule according to what the app specified using the location where the car physically is. I did change it and I’ll see what happens.
I know this is mostly about how to offset VD while camping, but I'm not sure why I would need to plug in the OBD if I am at home. Why not plug the trickle charger into a regular household outlet? Is there a benefit to plugging it into the OBD?
I’ve had 2 Teslas that I don’t remember ever having this problem. I have left them both sitting for extended periods of time but don’t recollect them losing power or getting notified they were charging to make up the difference. Maybe they it did charge to make up loss and I just didn’t get...
I’ve read a few post that state people don’t have any power to their console and sometimes headrest USB ports. There are claims it is or is going to be fixed with a software update. But I don’t see anywhere it has been fixed. None of mine are working to charge an iPhone. Different cables...
Audi S8 and both Apple Maps and Google Maps work that way. I guess if the Rivian Map only wants you to use a route with highways why offer Option A & B.
Ok, I get what you are saying but based on my use in my other vehicles, even with "use highways" option selected if it gives you an option of Route A (which may have highways) or Route B (which doesn't" ) and you select Route B it gives you that route. In my case, if offered both routes but only...
