  1. Next Batch of NACS Adapters Shipping to Rivian Owners!

Are R1S' getting deliveries yet? Sorry if its buried in the thread/s. Did a quick review and see lots R1T deliveries. Starting to wonder where I stand on the list. 1st R1S was vin 22xx. That one was salvaged and on vin 12,xxx now. Waited it out for FE interior or would have had much lower vin...
  2. 22" inch tires recommendations?

depends on the roads you drive and tire preference but could not be happier with the Continental Terrain Contact ATs. completely changes the look of the car. hated the OEM tires. awful in snow and gravel.
  3. 20" Inch Five (5) 275/60R20 [33"] Tires Compared: Defender, Territory AT, Geolander CV4S, Grabber HTS60, and Nomad Grappler

100% agree. Our 1st R1S had 115s on it, 2nd came with 116s. We will never exceed either the speed or the load limit of the new tires on order and feel much safer in the majority of our driving conditions not having the crappy OEM tires on it. 115s going on next week!!
  4. Tire Replacement - Do you have experience with Michelin Defender LTX Platinum or Continental TerrainContact A/T?

dont think i saw this one linked above but is the thread i used to draw my conclusion to the Conti TC AT. This is the the 22 wheel but a lot of useful info...
  5. Has anyone tried this tire?

Interesting to learn about the switch to a 116! My main concern is a quality tire that is safe to drive. The OE Pirellis were a poor tire IMHO. Tread life was terrible and they are downright dangerous on snow and ice. Wet traction wasn't much better. I am closing in on 19K miles on the...
  6. Has anyone tried this tire?

Going with the Conti TC ATs later this month. Yes the 115 is fine, if I remember correctly it was 1 letter off on the speed and load rating so some shops wont install the tires. Had pushback otp with Mr Tire not wanting to install. Called Discount Tire and they were fine. Went to another...
  7. Four Month Wait for Service

Would continue to reach out to them to see if another time opens up. I waited about that long for a dash rattle repair... Talked to the others in the lobby while waiting, their wait times were weeks. One guy had only owned his car for 2-weeks and already came in for a minor repair. I asked my...
  8. Matte wrap gang! Let's see photos of your matte Rivian R1T & R1S

2nd R1S in LA Silver. Drove this one straight to the tint/wrap shop after delivery. Our El Cap R1S was totaled awaiting wrap appointment. Deleted the chrome strip along roof and had our guy black wrap the mirrors to keep the look uniform.
  9. Priority R2 delivery for R1 owners announced!

Received email at 5:20 EST and placed order.... Here's to wondering if my color options will cost me 1449 days from order to delivery like the R1S!?!
  10. I don't miss this at all

This thread brings back memories of my 1st time... There was no 2nd... It made its way into the lower frunk area with the mobile charger... Ease of use/reuse beat out perfect organization. Compressor hose 1 - Owner 0
  11. I don't miss this at all

Agree on washing windows but I use the Rivian's air compressor! Still have a number of ICE vehicles in the stable here and hate the thoughts of mechanical issues and big maintenance checkups :(
  12. Found an entire parking lot full of Kandi K32 Pickups

These would be great farm trucks for small chores. Toss on some farm tags so you can get into town for fuel, feed or material runs. Currently using a Japanese mini truck for this now but this looks even better being an EV. Price points are similar to the Daihatsu HD dump. Would really miss the...
  13. We need more "Home" locations!

These comments are cracking me up! Thanks for the morning break of monotony :) Our situation wont last forever as building at the 2nd place. I feel like the OP on the days I get to cut grass there - the car mirrors and door handles get a marathon workout...
  14. We need more "Home" locations!

Great post as have similar issues. Not sure this is a 'decent' workaround but I leave the keyfob in the car console. Our phones are the only keys we use. Wristband and cards are in a junk drawer somewhere. At home, the car is unlocked all the time so no issues. At home #2, it locks as cant set...
  15. Need more range for skiing

Glanced at it and saw the 'Does not fit your 2023 Rivian R1S' message. Further down it suggests it fits most factory square and aero bars so don't see why it wouldn't? Might give it or the Thule one a try and listen. Quick edit. Clicked the dropdown on Yakima site to change to the 52" fairing...
  16. Need more range for skiing

Similar situation here regarding range. Our kid's school does ski Fridays. Last year was no issue with the equipment inside the R1S. This year they are both skiing well so we aren't helping the instructors. My wife and I both ski during their lesson. Enter the Yakima Fat Cat EVO 6 on the roof...
  17. Paint Protection PPF Cost?

$6500 is going price in VA as well... no regrets doing it...
  18. Heated steering wheel update needed

oh man opnwide, def a chuckle on that one! agree with others tho. the system has room for improvement.... wait, i know, what about every other manufacturer that has this option? quick preheat mode akin to ICE remote start (if car is outside vs heated garage). wow, we can even queue the seats...
  19. PPF: Glossy v Stealth

sorry for the late add but here is our la silver in matte with blacked out mirrors and chrome trim delete.
  20. PPF: Glossy v Stealth

Congrats on the new Rivian! Our 1st R1S was el cap granite and we were wrapping it in full matte once some service center alignment issues were completed. that never happened as the car was totaled awaiting those repairs. We did install a small section on the driver side front fender to...
