Did you ever get new tires? I'm in the market too and my short list is the Michelin Defender LTX Platinum, Continental TerrainContact A/T

I have not got any yet. I still have some tread and am still figuring out what one to go with. I call the local tire shop here (Burt brothers) and they said they could get them and install them no problem. They said it’s a newer tire and they did not have any experience with them.

The price is so low I may just do it to try it and if they don’t work out get some Terrain Contact AT.

what are you thinking?

On both those options the speed and load aren't good enough. Make sure to get 116H or better...

They are both 115, which is the original tire that came on the Rivian, I dont see an issue with them..

Not a fan of the tread pattern on the Atturo thou.

Right now I am hoping the tires I have will last until the KO3 come out in our size.
I would love a set now but if it starts snowing or raining before I will have to do the TC AT

I had those Contis on my Jeep. They seemed to be an average tire at best, definitely seemed more street oriented than all-terrain. They drive like your basic all-season tire, very smooth and very quiet.

Atturo Trail Blade ATS Simple Tire has them for $178.97 a tire.

Buy Atturo Trail Blade ATS 275/50R22 Tires | SimpleTire

Looking at that tire or the Continental Terrain Contact AT. It seems like this tire works well on the Rivian. The price difference is over $100 a tire. (These are $310.99)

Buy Continental TerrainContact A/T 275/50R22 Tires | SimpleTire

Would love to know thoughts.
I had a set of the Atturo's on my rims until I sold them together. I was pretty impressed. The biggest downfall is they are a 40psi tire.

Also, I got them from Walmart a lot cheaper shipped than what you are showing.

115 is fine on a Rivian, especially if you aren’t towing at max capacity ever.

Wherever you buy from, check out possible discounts offered via Shop Through Chase, if you’re a Chase CC holder. A few of my Chase cards get me an additional 8-10% promo code, PLUS 4-6x pts per dollar spent, when buying from TireBuyer.com

I believe Citi has a few merchant offers for tire distributors as well, but the discounts aren’t as good as Chase.

Going with the Conti TC ATs later this month. Yes the 115 is fine, if I remember correctly it was 1 letter off on the speed and load rating so some shops wont install the tires.

Had pushback otp with Mr Tire not wanting to install. Called Discount Tire and they were fine.

Went to another shop my neighbor recommended yesterday for a tractor tire repair. They sold all major brands so I got a quote on the TC AT. Owner said they never have an issue with a tire 1 letter rating off that meets or exceeds the limits of the car.

Have a 3/4 ton truck for towing heavy items so wont be an issue there. Nor will I ever hit the 110 limit the Rivian has which is slower than the TC ATs rating.

The thing with the 115's, especially on the 22's, is that originally, the OEM 22's were actually rated at 115H. It wasn't until almost a year after launch they changed the 22's to a 116

Interesting to learn about the switch to a 116!

My main concern is a quality tire that is safe to drive. The OE Pirellis were a poor tire IMHO. Tread life was terrible and they are downright dangerous on snow and ice. Wet traction wasn't much better.

I am closing in on 19K miles on the Pirellis and they are nearly toast. The owner of the shop I went to yesterday asked me if I could wait 10-days as she could see Conti had a June sale but was still unclear which tires it would be on. She also said the TC ATs were significantly better than the OE tires.
