EVLander has 295/65R20 KO2s on Thuren Deca wheels (which are 8" wide, +50mm offset). Based on BFG's spec sheet, they are the same 35.1" diameter / 11.8" section width as the 295/65R20 KO3s. Not sure if he's commented about whether he's encountered any rubbing off-roading. I believe he was going...
I'm curious if anyone has tested larger tire fitments with the +4/+4 lift setting. I'm thinking of trying to run 295/65R20s (which have actual dimensions of about 35.4" diameter, 11.8" width for Falken Wildpeak A/T4Ws), and I'm hoping the additional inch or so will help avoid rubbing at Standard...
Given the lack of aftermarket off road accessories available, I'm considering trying my hand at DIY fabricating a steel front bumper and rear bumper for my R1S. However, after looking at pictures of disassembled Rivians online, the number of tabs/fasteners/sensors behind the plastic bumpers make...
I bought a used OEM tire with 10/32 tread depth off of eBay and it worked out perfectly. I paid about $105 shipped. Try and make sure there are no plugs or patches.
I came across another tie rod reinforcement product. Originally designed for the 6th gen Bronco (hence the name Broncbuster) and they adapted the same concept for the Rivian. Over twice the price as the DHD sleeves so not sure if the value's there, but it may be a simpler install/uninstall...
Does anyone know if tire shops will have similar issues installing tires with a max speed rating of Q (100mph), since it's lower than the Rivian's max speed?
Looks like their Rivian R1S specific tire carrier is available now:

$1150. Looks like it’s also slightly off center.
Awesome work. Might be worth while to send this to Wassym at Rivian (he's active on the Rivian subreddit) to see if the EQ controls can be revised to add more bands or user-defined frequencies.
Round headlights like the van would be a nice nod to the offroad capability, since so many iconic boxy 4x4 vehicles had/have that design language (Land Cruiser, Bronco, Jeep, Land Rover, etc). The current design has grown on me though and I’ve heard a lot of people say they love it.
Just got an email from Rigd Supply stating that their Rivian-specific UltraSwing is in development and they are officially starting to take preorders. Their pre-order price is $1699 and will have a lead time of about 8 weeks for the first batch of 25.
These look great. Am I correct that unlike the MegaWatt / DCE / RMaxx sliders, these mount only to the single row of the frame, (where the TP55 body bolts are located), and do not utilize a secondary row of fasteners closer to the battery pack? Interesting. That secondary row did seem somewhat...
Excited to try this out. This would allow for the use of up to a 50" wide sleeping pad, since the third row armrests won't be in the way. Would just have to make sure the plywood pieces for the 2nd row area are cut a bit wider so the pad doesn't deflect down in those areas. The wider Exped (LW+...
Update: I have not seen this error in several months. I attributed it to the cooler weather, but note that even when the car was sitting in the sun and got up to 100+ in the cabin, I still did not see this error come up. I had a service appointment scheduled for today (for this issue, as well as...
The R1T now has a bed rack available as well. Both the R1T bed rack and roof rack are available to order. The R1S roof rack is still out of stock, and they've increased the price on that one as well (to $1,954). I don't think I'll end up buying it at this price.
Cool. Not sure what you're going on about there. My main concern is with availability for running boards. The $2500 Weistec rock sliders are readily available, but I do not need sliders and do not wish to spend $2500 on something that I will end up using solely as a step. I have no doubt that...
