Placed my order this morning.
Will end up using this for as long as it takes. Rivian was supposed to install a power tonneau when I got my truck but never delivered with it. It’s a Mixbag on what will ever happen and I need a tonneau. Preferred the power one as we bought the truck for this...
They already reached out to me and said this.
“ Unfortunately, our team hasn't scanned the R1T yet, only the R1S. We've had a few R1T drivers reach out to us asking about our development program, but they have been unable to make multiple trips to our warehouse for the scans and test fits.
We...
That’s awesome! However moments ago all they had was the R1S and surprised they got an R1T already. They confirmed this? As their website is still showing only R1S. I’ll contact them and put in an order if it’s possible.
Thanks for asking them. I guess they were able to find one if that’s what...
I’m kinda worried as my R1T is the noisiest EV I’ve ever owned. Which isn’t saying a lot.
Have owned Tesla model S, model3, (2) bmw i4 m50, and drive many others like Volvo c40 recharge, Hyundai Ioniq 5, ford Mach e, ford lightning, hummer ev, model y, model X, blah blah.
Whatever but the R1T...
LinerX is ok for the price as it will be cheaper if this is important. However the tuxmats will have better fit and more coverage. Plus they will look better too. Have been happy with their products albeit not the cheapest option. They do take it a step further with better coverage.
Why does the R1T not have preconditioning? Especially from the app???? Our Teslas did, and our i4 m50’s do. But imo BMW has the best app all around and wish Rivian can catch up… adding widgets, preconditioning, ability to put reverse cam and bed cam on front display above wheel, add Apple Music...
For me, I would like to have a reverse camera option for this display to have option for either the bed cam or reverse cam here. Instead of the main display. My neck was broken on August 2nd this year. My life will never be the same. Lost 50% of flexibility and need cameras for helping me see...
Need improvement on vampire drain. Still pretty high! Used to be 5-6% a day. And now at 2% or so. Way too much. Considering my BMW i4 m50 lost 1% being parked 5months while I was in hospital and recovering.
Anyhow…. Another issue I hope Rivian fixes is the turn signal sound…. Am I the only one...
Gosh I wish my truck only drained this much a night. It’s been more like 5-6% a day and annoying as hell. But it’s been broken since may 2023 and parked. But charged it a lot for just sitting!!! Finally got in for service last month and they did some updates so hope this fixes this issue along...
FWIW, when the Rivian came out I thought it was a silly looking truck that reminded me of a cute anime character and far from tough. I criticized it for its poor off-road abilities in the beginning which for those who followed its early days. Knows. It was bad. And got stuck many times. Albeit...
From what I understand is the CT steer by wire is unique as it being 48v, its motors produce 5hp just to turn the wheels and use far less copper than other systems using 12V which from what I gather cannot produce this type of power anyhow. Also ct has full 48v, from its window regulators, power...
I would measure it in time if it was significant amount of time. I’m 5miles from work and people may assume that means I have zero commute. yet can take 15-45min to get there. Depending on time of day.
It’s too much of a change. But I am in the Seattle area and our commutes are long sometimes...
I can’t imagine living so damn far from work. That’s got to be a hellish commute. I would move before taking a job that far away. Just saying. Cheaper than dealing with car expenses and fuel or power. I imagine you are a tiny percentage of use case compared to most who commute 40miles or less...
I don’t find it to ever be a problem. Around 180-190miles @80% charge is plenty for me. My wife and I both have an m50 and they charge in our garage. We have two evse’s and 20KwH battery backups for our solar system. On road trips we have not had issues either. Rarely have we needed the entire...
Anyone in the Toronto area with an R1T that can contact tuxmats?
Tuxmat.ca
They need to get an R1T to scan for their mats. And hope someone can get them one. I’ve been hoping to get a set of their mats for r1T. Please let me know if you can help them get a scan of your vehicle
