No one has said it will be the same spec and the Premium vs Performance is the same equipment, just different suspension and more power.
The BMW is lower spec (no glass roof, no rear heated seats or filled front seats) but then has much greater range and charging speed. So people can choose...
?? The reviews on the iX3 are on YouTube and accessible. Since the i3 is the same platform, batteries, motors and software then the expectation is that it is also top tier. An initial review is already out from a winter testing trip a few weeks ago.
I am not in the market for this vehicle and...
I saw a video with the autonomous driving capability of the iX3 which was an advanced L2 system. Is that included in the price? If so that helps close the price gap.
I understand, but it has been clear in some communications that the infotainment chip stays the same. RAP1 (for those fearing to miss out I am sure RAP2 will be along in a few years!) is solely for autonomy.
The hardware you are talking about is for autonomy only. There won’t be hardware changes next year for infotainment, battery, motors, suspension, ultra wide band keyless operation, AI assistant etc.
I understand the fear of missing out, I think about it too, but the difference will be high...
I agree with you. I wish we would keep Gen 3 to mean ADAS only (and this will go to R1 in time). There will not be a Gen 2 R2 for sometime since it isn’t out for another three months and the hardware, styling etc will not change for several years.
Would be good if they used ADAS 2.0, 3.0 to...
They would incur the extra cost of the included launch package items if they placed a hold rather than just sell what they have produced.
Either way this will become clearer and having a proper configurator would help.
The droppable rear window was never expected to be on the $45k model. Reasonable people know some things like that, ventilated seats, range etc will be sacrifices to hit a low price point.
